"Hey! Smile!" you exclaimed, raising your new Polaroid camera to your face looking at Lily. The red haired girl frantically messed about with her hair and then smiled at you.
The photo rolled out, not yet formed.
With a sigh, you laid it down on the picnic rug and got comfortable on it. "And we wait."
"How was your Christmas?" asked her girl best friend as she snuggled up in your side.
"It was wonderful! Elizabeth and I had lots of fun, I got wonderful gifts. Such as this bracelet!" you raised your right wrist showing the charm bracelet in pride.
"Oh, it's beautiful!" Lily gushed softly clutching onto her best friend's wrist to examine it further. "Who did you get it from?"
"That's the thing... I do not know!" you looked away to be met with Severus. "Oh, hi Sev! Come sit down!"
Severus smiled, wrapping his Slytherin scarf tighter around his neck and sitting down next to you on the rug.
"I hope you both received my necklaces!" you said looking at the boy and the girl.
"I did!" Lily said, reaching underneath her sweater, showing you the necklace with a rose quartz hanging on it.
"So did I," smiled Snape, showing you the same sort of necklace, but with a rutilated quartz.
"Perfect," you said, taking one hand of each in your own. "I'm sorry I didn't communicate with you through the Christmas break, Sev..."
"Don't worry about it," he reassured her, tightening his clutch on your hand momentarily.
The girl nodded with a sigh of relief. "I felt very bad for it," your laughed and looked down. "Oh, looks like your picture is fully developed, Lils!"
Lily let go of her best friend's hand in excitement and grabbed her photo.
"It's so cute!" you said, looking at the photo of your best friend with a content smile. "I'm gonna put it in my photo album," you stated, reaching over to take the photo. "I want one of you too, Sev."
"O- oh! No! No! I don't look good enough for that! I'll only embarrass myself," Severus said, shaking his head anxiously, before covering it with his slender cold hands.
"Hey, hey! It's alright!", you said, taking his hands in yours and looking at him kindly. "You don't have to be insecure! You're perfect in your own way, you know? You don't have to be embarrassed."
"Especially not around us, Sevvy," butted Lily in, agreeing with her best friend.
Severus met your warm gaze, you were smiling at him sweetly, his hands still in yours. A blush formed on his face as he began to nod slowly.
