I tried to laugh about it,
Covering it all up with lies
I tried to laugh about it,
Hiding the tears in my eyes,
Cause boys don't cry

Summer went by in a whirlwind and soon I was standing on Platform 9 3/4. My trunk was already in the Hogwarts Express as I wanted to spend the last minutes with my parents before the new year would start.

The first thing I did was searching for Sirius. It wasn't long before I found him, with a younger looking version of himself next to him. I remembered him talking about his brother, Regulus, a few times, but it didn't seem to be a topic he liked to discuss often, but I could tell he was proud to be his brother.

He didn't look like his usual, cheery self, instead he had a stern look on his face. The same face his mother and father seemed to pull, but a little less sincere. Regulus was in between his parents while Sirius trailed behind them. Sirius looked around and soon made eye contact with me. He beamed and glanced at his parents for a moment, but they weren't watching so swiftly he made his way over to me.

"James!" He exclaimed in delight and I opened my arms for him.

"Sirius, mate! Glad to see you again!"

I turned to my parents. "Mum, dad, this is Sirius, my best friend." I nudged him with my elbow.

"Glad to meet you, sweetheart," my mother told him warmly. "Our James told us all about you."

"Nice to meet you, Sirius," father nodded at him.

"Why didn't you owl me?" I interfered. "I send you countless of letters!"

"You did?" Questioned Sirius, looking bewildered. "I never saw any letters."

Of course, his parents...

"Well, we're back together now, that's all tha–"

"Sirius Orion Black!" Someone hissed making Sirius stiffen.

Behind him, a medium length woman – perhaps 5'6 – stood. Her hair was dark brown, close to Sirius's, but it was becoming gray. The look on her face? Pure fury.

Just behind her stood her husband. The man was just a few inches taller than his wife – around 5'9 – and his hair was gray. He wasn't focused on Sirius, but on keeping his little brother at bay.

"What do you think you're doing?!" The woman raged, grabbing Sirius by his arm and turning him around.

"Hey! Let him go!" I exclaimed, reaching out for my best friend, but my mother wrapped her arms around me tightly.

"Ah, the Potter's,"Sirius's mother spoke indistinctly. Her gray eyes wandered to my mother who was pushing me behind her protectively.

"Walburga," my father said, taking a step in front me.
