(Madle, from Tennisee is on a long trip to Greece. Her father sent her off to Greece so that she can better understand the world and its places and possiblilities. He wants her to discover what she wants to do in life. So he set up a beach home for her to live in for the year.)

Madle steps off of the plane and into the tunneled chamber that leads to the airport. As she did, she smells the scent of a mysterious new food. She keeps walking towards the airport, and as she does, the scent gets stronger and stronger. As she enters into the airport she turns her head to see a resteraunt full of new and interesting foods. She walks towards it to buy some, but then remembers that she must find her way around Greece first before getting into its beautiful and unique culture. She wanders around the airport trying to find someone her father might have sent to help her. She then finds a middle aged lady with thick brown hair and a sign with her name on it. Of course dad sent someone! Why would he not?

She walks up to the the woman and pulls out her ID card as an attempt to prove who she is. "Hi, Im Madle."

The woman greets her with a smile, then speaks with an accented voice that is hard to understand. "Hi Madle, Im Akala. How was you're flight?"

I respond happily, now that I know that she is probably nice. "It was ok...."

Akala cuts Madle off. "I didn't really care how you're flight was, I was just doing the thing that everyone does. Now, we have a long trip to Councara Dikapiti. It is an Island with lots of old Greek ruins. So please be carefull with what you do. You're house is a half a mile away from one, and its right next to the beach. I hope that will make you pleased."

Now, confused on wether she is just an ingnorant lady, or has a personality of a rat, I respond. "Thankyou very much Akala."

Akala replies with a stead fast intent. "Yes, good, okay we go now."

I gigle at the sight of Akala's impatience. We get on bikes and ride to the dock. When we got there there seemed to be a whole in the boat that we were going to take, because it was deep beneath the waters, and the only thing that wasn't was the chain that they so tightly wound to the dock post. A man sits in the water as if he were to dive underneath to get some belongings.

Akala yells at him as if he had done something wrong. "Caratoli! What did you do! We have to leave now! What did you do Caratoli!"

He replies. "We hit a floating log. I am sorry Akala but we cant go today."

Another man walks out of the boat next to the sunken ship to dock his boat.

Akala continues to yell at Caratoli. "Then we will take Picifies boat."

The man who was docking his boat looks up. "What? No! Not my boat! I just finished boarding it! I've been out all day!"

Akala replies sternly. "I don't care, we have to take a boat to Concara and its not going to be Caratoli's. Get out of the water and dry off Caratoli, I'm surprised that you're boat didn't die earlier."

Akala intently climbs up onto Picifies boat and boards herself in the captins room. The boat wasn't big, but it was big enough to fit 10 people. So I took my luggage and boarded the boat.

Picifie looks at us with dissagreement, then continues to rant silently. "So I tell her no finally, and she still doe's what she wants. I tell her yes and she still yells at me for the way I drive the boat. What is this lady's problem?!"

I settle myself into a beatup medal chair in the back of the captians room next to Akala, who is laying on the floor. "So, what kind of things do you like to do in Greece Akala?"

She rolls over onto her face and mumbles. "Oh, this is going to be a long year."

Later, we arrive at another dock, but this time, it was better than the last. It was freshly re-painted and kept in order. It did not have as many boats, although the boats that were there were well kept. And the water was so clear that you could see any fish that swam by. It was so beautiful that I wanted to just jump in, but I get my things and follow Akala to a small blue buggie that seemed to be in a number of wrecks because the whole front end was lopsided opposed to dents.
