Lost Feelings: A Lumity Love Story

Sitting facing eachother in a lower branch of the tree. Luzes hands resting on my hips while my hands rest comfortably on her shoulders, my fingers brushing against the side of her face.
I'm very slightly sitting on her lap since the branch isn't that thick. Her gaze towards the ground

"So... Luz?.."

Luz looks up her eyes red and slightly bloodshot from crying earlier

"yeah?"

I inhale softly, exhale deeply

"your worst fear is me...?"

Startled Luz grips my sides tighter

"its not you that im afraid of! Please don't see me wrong!...I meant every word...every..kiss"

her forehead leans onto mine, looking down I say in sad confusion

"then explain to me, what happened to have grom form to me as your worst fear??."

breathing in Luz sighs

" I'm afraid... of falling in love with you. YES I know.. we're already dating, but let me explain- I see you every day, and it makes my heart leap when I see you. I think you're the best. I look at you like you're greater than the titan itself, and there's times I wanted to tell you... to kiss you- WAAAYYY before this- AMAZING day... but I'm so afraid of losing you I second guess myself, think of myself as a loser. So I tell myself "she'll never like me I'm just a human" I just... I just hope I haven't already lost you.. cause of my bottled up fears"

tears run down her cheeks, I'm shocked.. I dont want to see Luz cry it breaks my heart seeing her this hurt.

"Luz..."

I go to reach for her face and she out of our newfound habit intertwines our fingers. Pulling my hands out of her grip I place my hands on her cheeks,

"well I-"

panicking she interrupts me rushing for words

"Luz let me finish-..."

Luz stiffens, scared, looking me in the eyes trying not to cry, making every single word count I say

"Well I'm not grom."

Pulling luz in I place a soft kiss on her lips, filling every touch full with gentle passion.
Luz hugs me tight pulling me in closer.

Parting our lips I guide rebellious strands of her hair behind her ear away from her face

"I'm not grom..I'm NOT leaving..after today..there's no way I CAN"

I whisper gently, Luz rests her forehead against mine as she mutters lovingly

"I love you"

pulling herself closer to me she leans in and kisses me once more,

"I love you too"

my voice escapes just as lovingly but with an added equal level of shyness, running my hand down her arms I eventually wrap my arms around her waist, pulling her closer even though theres no room TO pull her closer. I catch her gaze and stare deep into her chocolate brown eyes, and she into my gold eyes.

"I always will.. I promise.."

And this marks the end of a journey between two girls fighting for love of eachother
A gracious end with love as the winner and hatred, regret, and loss down in 100th place.

it is my first story I'd took the time to not leave as a wip...
And it's not my last story!!!

created on april 30th, it was finished august 8th 2021.
Many edits and revisions took place during those 4 months.
Lost feelings was originally a five minute read now I'm glad to say it takes nearly 35 minutes for me to finish.
