First and foremost, the events in this particular story take place in the year 1724. James is 27 years old, and the main character, Eve, is the same age as Elizabeth, specifically 20 years old. I wanted to emphasize that during that time period, age differences of 8 to 9 years were quite common and socially accepted, but if you do not like age gaps, perhaps this story isn't something for you.
Additionally, there will be instances where Eve speaks in French. Don't worry if you don't understand French, as the translations will be provided directly next to the French dialogue in brackets like [this]. This way, everyone can follow the story seamlessly.
Lastly, I want to address the inclusion of a specific aspect in this book. The female main character is portrayed as being infertile. It's an important element of the story, and I wanted to make sure everyone is aware of it.
