"Pureblood" I muttered the password and the painting swang forward to let me into the common room.
No one was there. I glanced at my watch. 12:07 PM.
Sh!t, I'm late
I walked up to Pansy's dormitory hesitantly. I heard muffled voices as I climbed the steps.
I knocked four times, our secret knock. The voices stopped and I heard footsteps.
The door flung open.
I didn't think I would ever get over how beautiful Pansy was. Her wavy hair was shiny and perky, her green eyes the colour of emerald.
That's what I got her for her birthday last year. An emerald ring. It was practically the exact shade of her eyes and so I had to get it. She was so happy and hasn't taken it off since.
Pansy smiled widely, pulling me inside.
"You're late," she pretended to be mad, her lips pulling into a pout. I laughed, and pushed my hair behind my shoulder.
"Sorry," I smirked, "it's called being fashionably late."
Now that I was with my best friends and distracted from the constant worry of being caught with Fred, I could afford to be more bubbly. I didn't think there was a single person here that I wasn't pretty close with.
Except.... him.
His grey eyes felt like they were touching me, judging me, as I stood making jokes. He was the only one that didn't laugh, his eyes fixed towards a point in the wall.
The window.
His hand subconsciously stroked his mark on his wrist.
Thinking about Voldemort again. I sighed. Draco Malfoy was always worrying about something.
I sat down in the circle on the floor my friends were in. I glanced at everyone in the room. Astoria Greengrass, Draco, Blaise Zabini, Pansy.
My crazy friend group.
I guess I had other friends too, but these were the ones that were in my "group".
Blaise, who was on my left, ruffled my hair fondly.
"I told you not to do that," I hissed playfully, "It ruins the curls,"
Blaise rolled his eyes. He was my second closest friend after Pansy, so I of course I loved him. Even if he was so obsessed with ruining hours of hard work to get my curly hair to actually look good.
"I was just saying before you arrived," Astoria grinned, revealing a set of perfect white teeth.
No wonder Draco was in a relationship with her.
I tried to focus on what Astoria was saying.
".... play Spin the Bottle, and whichever two it lands on has to play the game that is picked on the spinning wheel," She pointed towards a small wheel in the middle of the circle.
Everyone made noises of agreement.
Except him of course. He was still staring out the window. That was all he did these days.
Blaise stood up to grab a bottle of firewhisky.
"Drink, anyone?"We filled our glasses, emptying the small bottle, which was then placed in the middle with the wheel.
"Right then," Astoria said brightly, "let's go,"
She span the bottle. It moved round 3 times before landing on Pansy. She raised her eyebrows and took a large gulp of her drink.
Astoria span the bottle again. It moved four times this time, the last time so slow that I was sure it would land on me. But instead it landed on Blaise.
He rubbed his hands, intrigued.
Pansy reached to spin the wheel. The arrow stopped on "Truth or Dare".
"Blaise, truth or dare?" Pansy's smile was wicked, sly.
"Dare,"
A short pause.
"I dare you to kiss me,"
Everyone was shocked. Even Draco tore his gaze from the window to stare.
The room waited in anticipation.
Blaise's mouth turned up and he leaned across me and then suddenly my best friends were locking lips.
Right in front of me.
I didn't know whether to be disgusted or excited for them.
I gasped. So did Astoria.
Nothing from Draco.
Why do I keep watching him?
Blaise finally pulled away with a pop and Pansy's lips were swollen.
I was so happy for her, I could barely hold it in. We shared a special, secret smile.
"Get it!" Astoria sniggered. Sipped her drink.
"Next go," Pansy's cheeks were red. I was shocked. Pansy never blushes.
The bottle span again. It stopped, pointing directly to me. My lips parted in slight surprise.
Everyone was looking at me. Pansy span the bottle again, and it seemed to take longer than usual to spin. Or maybe it was because I was so nervous.
The bottle span slowly, slower, slower.
And stopped directly in front of Draco.
