I opened the door to my dorm, checking I had everything I needed for my classes today.

Pansy had woken me up in the morning, before leaving to pack her own bag. She acted like everything was normal, so I did too.

I looked over my timetable.

Divination

Potions

Break

Charms

Defence against the dark arts

I seemed to have no lessons after break, which meant that after my detention I'd have plenty of time to catch up on homework. Or reading.

Or Fred.

I hadn't had any classes with Fred for ages. I was looking forward to Divination as it was split between Slytherin and Griffindor.

I met Pansy, Astoria and Blaise in the Slytherin Common Room and we all walked together.

Draco seemed to be absent from class today, as he was nowhere to be seen.

I ignored his absence and tried to focus on the conversation.

Blaise and Pansy were talking about their kiss. I watched as Pansy flirted with Blaise. I almost smiled, happy for her.

I shifted my gaze and found Astoria staring at me. Her gaze seemed almost..... hateful?

Then she blinked and smiled. "Sorry, I was daydreaming."

It must have been my imagination. Astoria would never look at me in such a cruel way.

Right?

Stop overthinking.

I climbed up the ladder to the Divination classroom first. The classroom was very cosy, and Professor Trelawney's sweet perfume intoxicated the room.

She grinned at me. "Good morning, dear."

I smiled politely and picked a seat in the middle. Most of the back seats were filled.

Blaise and Pansy sat next to each other meaning that Astoria had to sit next to me. She was sweet about it though. I must have imagined that look earlier.

Professor Trelawney began to explain what we had to do. We were doing some telling-the-future-thing using tea.

I've always hated Divination.

Just then, out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a mane of ginger hair. I watched as Fred walked in with George.

I don't know how I ever got confused between them. Fred was so much more beautiful. His hair was softer, his freckles reaching a place in his neck and on his forehead that George's didn't. He was perfect.

He sat down at a seat behind me. I turned around.

He winked.

Butterflies circled my heart, making me feel giddy. A small part of my brain noted that George laughed.

I turned around. Astoria pressed a cup of tea into my hands and took one herself. I thanked her and took a sip.

The tea was warm and comforting, and soon there was none left. We swapped tea cups.

I looked in the book.

"Okay so," I squinted, "it says that a crescent kind of shape means that you could be rich when you're older. But you're already rich now?"

Astoria's bank was fat. Courtesy of her daddy, of course.

She laughed and took my teacup.

"Yours is more like a river and it says here that-" she stopped. Looked confused.

Then, Blaise interrupted us. He was clutching Pansy's tea cup and laughing hysterically.

"It says here-" he was laughing so much he could barely speak. "I-it says that-" more laughs.

"It said that I'm going to be a prostitute when I'm older," Pansy looked almost proud.

Blaise was now banging the edge of his chair with his hand aggressively.

I laughed lightly. I could believe that.

"What were you saying, Astoria," I looked at her again.

I couldn't read her expression. "It says that you're hiding something? That you're sly?"

Blaise stopped laughing.

I wanted to die.

Instead I laughed. In the kind of way you laugh to little kids when they say there's a monster under their bed.

"Of course not, Astoria. Everyone knows Divination isn't real!"

Pansy laughed too. Blaise seemed to relax a little bit.

Astoria didn't. In fact, she looked livid.

She leaned and whispered in my ear. "I know you forced yourself on Draco, you whor3. I can't believe you blatantly lied to our faces. Don't worry, you'll get what's coming."

To say I was shocked was an understatement.

I couldn't believe Draco had lied. I didn't force myself on him. He forced himself on me.

I couldn't believe him.

I looked at Pansy and Blaise but they were busy flirting and weren't paying attention to us anymore.

I looked at Astoria desperately. "Please," I whispered, "I didn't, I swear."

"You know," she moved close to my ear again, "I always knew you were a whor3. Didn't take you for a liar, too."

I felt as though I'd been slapped in the face. Hard.

I was furious. Not at Astoria, but at Draco. I couldn't believe he had done this to me. For no reason!

Taking my friends and leading them astray was the final straw.

I sat back in my chair.

Draco Malfoy was through messing with me.
