NagaKonan - Outed

This is part 2 of The Visit

(More info on the AU, Nagato's real body has only been seen by Tobi and Konan, the rest of the Akatsuki just know him as Pain.)

(Just after the meeting)

Hidan left the meeting and went to sit in the lounge, while Itachi went off to make mochi for a sweet treat. The base filled with the welcoming aroma of food, and soon Itachi called out, saying that food was ready. Hidan got up to tell the rest of the group, going one door at a time, until he reached Konan's. He knocked on the door, but got no reply, so he walked in just in time to see Konan fly out the window. He waited for a moment, contemplating if he should chase her. He wondered why she had left, and letting his thoughts get the best of him, he stealthily chased after her. She stopped at a tower, letting herself fall onto its balcony, and let herself in. He raised an eyebrow at this, how did she get in to what he assumed was a locked door. He shrugged it off and hid by a window, where he could feel sheer power emanating off the room. 

Soon after he had hid, a man with red hair trudged past the window, to a couch and fell asleep. Using the opportunity, he looked to the other side of the room to see Konan at a large oak desk, doing paperwork. -Odd- he thought to himself. Soon the man awoke, and the sheer power spiked again. It was dark, and the only source of light was a candle in the room, but Hidan could see the man walk down stairs.  The man then flew out a window and took off to the outskirts of the village. He followed him, hearing people cry out from the streets below "Look, its the Leader!" He was confused, was Pain not the leader of the village. He sighed, this was too much to process. He couldn't wait to tell the rest of the Akatsuki about his findings. 

Hidan tracked the man to a simple shop, where he got two take-out boxes and two cups of tea. The red head then ran off again, back to the tower. Hidan followed, leaping between the frames of the towers that made up most of Ame. Soon, they arrived back, and the man snuck back in the window and up the stairs, to the office, when he walked onto the roof, and used some form of Jutsu to flip the light-switch. Konan did not seem fazed, and called the man down from the roof. He gave her a sheepish smile and thrusted some of the food into her hands. She looked at him deadpan, and said he hadn't gotten cutlery. The red haired man sat on the couch and looked at his food sadly. Konan tossed him a paper fork, and as he bent down to inspect it she threw a kunai at the wall behind him. She smiled awkwardly, explaining that she couldn't shape a knife. Hidan stifled a giggle, the partner of the Leader of The Akatsuki couldn't even form the shape of a knife, let alone a sharp one.

She sat with him on the couch, silently eating their food. They finished quickly, and Konan gave a yawn. The man smirked and said "So now you see how difficult my job is!" Hidan stifled a laugh as Konan replied "No, its just that you had so much to do, the work itself was easy, believe me!" The man scowled angrily and grumbled " Are you implying that I'm stupid.?" She gave a hearty chuckle, and gripped his hand. Hidan hadn't noticed that, up until now. He gave a devilish smirk, wondering what their relationship was. Konan could get into trouble if this was what he thought it was. The man sulked "Meanie!" turning Hidan's attention back to the pair. Then Konan kissed the man on the cheek. She yawned and said "I should head back to base to keep things in check." Hidan almost shot off. Konan could not find out he was spying on her, but then, the man grabbed her waist and pulled her down.

Hidan dashed back to base, ready to spill all of what he saw. Itachi almost yelled at him, wondering he was back so late. Hidan gathered all the others, except for Leader, and spilled the details of what he had seen. "Konan ran off, and I followed her and she went to this office where there was a man with red hair." This sentence spiked Tobi's interest, had he found where Nagato was?" Then they had dinner and stuff, and they held hands." Zetsu's  eyes widened "Oooh!" Hidan smirked. "And she kissed him on the cheek. When I left, they were cuddling." Tobi cracked up laughing, while the rest of the group looked very scared. Hidan raised and eyebrow "What's so f***ing funny, ba****d?" He questioned. Tobi replied by pointing to the door-frame leading from the bedroom hallway to the lounge. There stood Leader, his eyes holding a light of fiery rage. "No, please continue,Hidan.." The Leader growled. Hidan shook his hands in front of his face. "Aw, come on boss, I was only curious, shouldn't you be mad at Konan." He face palmed and said "I guess I have to explain everything."

Konan was awoken by Nagato, who dragged her to base. He flung open the door while Hidan gasped "The red haired man!" Konan glared at him, angry at him for snooping around behind her back. Pain took the group into the lounge, where Nagato lifted his hair of his face, revealing his eyes. Zetsu smiled "We think we get what's going on here!" The others raised an eyebrow at the two. "The red haired man is boss!" From the corner of the room, a single word was heard from Tobi "Correct!" The others looked at him in disbelief. "YOU KNEW, TOBI?!" They yelled, almost in perfect sync. Konan chuckled. "Well this was hilarious, but..." Hidan shook, knowing what came next. Konan walked up to the Jashinist, and slapped him across the face with the back of her hand so hard, her ring left an indent in his cheek. His hands rushed to his face. he may have liked pain, but Konan made it the worst thing in the world. He was more concerned, however, about the tooth that Konan's ring had knocked out. Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. Konan smirked and walked to the red haired man.

"So wait, I knew Konan and Leader were close, but dating.?!" Deidara exclaimed, breaking the silence in the room. Konan just nodded, and Nagato wrapped an arm around her. "Just call me Nagato."
