✰...𝐀𝐋𝐌𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐓𝐖𝐎 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊𝐒 slowly passed since the roller skating 'date' connie had with you and you've evermore been closer to him. you got closer to rocky and zaire as well with zaire being in your home room and luckily, being in the same art class with the three boys. the only class and elective you had with them.

but being the girl in the friend group wasn't all that easy. in some cases, you had your period last week and connie and zaire were the only ones who didn't know what to do except rocky since he had a 15 year old younger sister named rockelle, who was already done going through puberty.

there was so many times where you wanted to have a girl talk with a girl but majority of the girls at angeles high were straight up haters. calling your money 'daddy's money', snickering behind your back just because you were wealthy and hanging around zaire, connie and rocky who didn't come up/grow up with the same lifestyle.

you confronted one girl since she wanted to be big and bad, first time you gotten sent out in class. you heard whispers and mumbles about connie, rocky and zaire being the reason why you "changing" and got all that mouth to lash out on someone when really you already were the type of person that didn't take no bullshit. that side of you was just never shown.

connie and the others heard about what these girls were saying about you and boy were they fed up together with you, "i'll drag them by they crusty ass wigs to compton if i need to. them niggas don't play ova' there," zaire said once.

but, being friends with all guys was worth it sometimes. like the three were like your body guards. you often caught them towering over you and behind you when you walked in the halls or literally anywhere at school.

in public, they would form a circle and keep you in the middle when they notice older men looking at you. connie being the more overprotective one would add a few growls and cold glares. zaire going all out and actually calling the person out to embarrass them and rocky just laughing quietly with you as the two would do that, adding a few words with zaire.

you haven't been to any of their cribs yet though and you weren't gonna pressure them to take you there either. especially connie. zaire and rocky didn't mind nor do they care if you wanted to go to their houses one day but connie? you didn't even have to open your mouth and a big fat no would be stamped on your lips to refrain you from even speaking.

it left you questioning sometimes. was he embarrassed of his home? insecure? whatever the reason was, you just let it go knowing that patience was key. whenever he's ready, he'll let you know.

the evening breeze was calm over the deafening sounds of the busy street of south los angeles. you were back in the city to see your uncle jerry train with connie. connie didn't know that you were coming after school to the gym, you wanted to surprise him anyways— knowingly he didn't want you to keep driving in south central to stay out so late.

in the meantime to look for a parking spot, connie was going head to head with zaire in the boxing ring as they both trained. it wasn't such an easy practice match since both men were skillful boxers. jerry was outside of the ring to watch the boys, shouting at connie to guide him while ricardo was doing the same for zaire.
