This fic is hugely inspired by Chris Hadfield's life story both as a retired Canadian astronaut and a singer. He released an album called Space Sessions: Songs From a Tin Can in 2015 after he landed back from International Space Station using Soyuz TMA-07M spaceflight.
The lyrics Yoongi wrote in the story are the actual lyrics of his song with the same title, Space Lullaby. He wrote that for his daughter. And this fic's intro is also inspired by David Bowie's song, Space Oddity.
