(Ignore my flaws and typos, if any. I didn't find time for editing)Ashwin couldn't control the tears that welled up in his eyes. In all these years, no one other than his mother has managed to flatter him with their love overwhelming him with an intense happiness which often brought tears in his eyes. The first person other than his mom who managed to choke him with an intense emotion strong enough to make his eyes brim with tears was Sivaangi. What amazed him more than her blissful rendition of Ondra renda aasaigal was her remembrance about his inadvertent comment when they once happened to listen to that song.
"Intha song change pannu ma"
"Yen Ashwineey, ithu super song theriyuma. Cha unakku taste e illa"
"Nalla song tha. Aana.."
"Ada Enna pa"

She immediately felt an urge to tell him that she'd be there for him throughout his life. But something hindered her from voicing out her feelings. She decided to wait for the perfect moment to reveal her feelings to him albeit indirectly.
Her joy knew no bounds when he was declared a direct finalist. She expressed her excitement in every way she could, nevertheless, she felt something was missing which did not take long for her to realize. While Ashwin possessed the ability to communicate through his eyes, she on the other hand, could convey her emotions through her singing. She rightly grasped what he would want at that moment and decided to unlease her feelings which were concealed in the deepest corner of her heart.
His slight eyebrow twitch as soon as she started singing was all the confirmation she needed to understand that he was fully aware of what she's trying to indicate. He got into a trance within microseconds of her singing and began mumbling the song while the overloaded emotions in him were threatening to outrush through his eyes as he gulped frequently to avoid an outrageous emotional breakdown.
Though he understood her state of mind, he was skeptical whether she was in the same phase as him. As in cue, she pacified him through their eye contact and nodded her head to reassure that she truly meant each and every word of the lyrics.
Ashwin underwent the same myriad of emotions when Sivaangi surprised him with a customized yellow wrist watch which had his special nickname 'Ashwineeyy' imprinted inside the dial along with a purple heart. What amazed him more was the efforts she took to bake and present him a cake despite her inexperience in baking.
Sivaangi quickly placed her cake on the table and inserted the birthday candles into it as she lighted them while merrily humming a melody. She sprinted to his sofa to take her mobile and started recording a video as she came back to the table where he stood and squealed, "Ashwineeyy, cake vett..." but abruptly stopped when she saw a tear escaping his eyes to fall on one of the candles blowing out the flame instantaneously.
Other than his mom, no other person had the thought of feeding him with their own preparation. Might be or might not be trivial for others, but Ashwin definitely regarded it as the most beautiful part of a relationship with a closed one. Being a man of emotions, he values the affection and love invested in the process of doing something special more than the outcome of that process.
