Lonz's POV:

CRASH!

"What was that?!" Vanessa cried, and Daniel clapped his hand over her mouth. "Princess shh!" he whispered.

Just then, I heard something, and I grabbed Matt's jacket, pulling him back hastily. "Lonz-" he began incredulously, but I cut him off before he could continue.

"All of you, hush!" I hissed, tilting my head to the side. The others watched on, wondering what the matter was.

There was no mistaking what I was hearing. Deep, hoarse breathing. Right in front of us.

The breaths came in hoarse, heavy grunts. And they were growing louder. Closer.

"Guys... there's something up here with us!" I whisper-yelled. "We need light, fast!"

"That must be what caused the crash," Daniel declared.

"I wonder if there are any light switches up here," Matt muttered.

"Hey," Vanessa tugged at my sleeve. "Do we have something in the duffel bag that would give off a light instead of finding a light switch?"

Matt's POV:

I jumped when another loud CRASH! rang out. Whatever it was, it just knocked something big over.

Whatever it is, it's big. And it was definetly coming right for US.

"We'd better hurry," I muttered to the others. "I have a feeling whatever is up here with us is not friendly,"

"What a great observation, Matthew," Lonz said sarcastically. I gave her an unimpressed look, not that she could see me in the dark anyway.

"Let's see..." I heard Vanessa mumble. "Oh!"

She held up the jar of Volcano Steam, which illuminated her face and Daniel who was standing by her. "The Volcano Steam does give off a light!"

I took the jar from her, lifting it up in front of us, instantly lighting up our surroundings with a soft white glow.

There, not five feet away from us, stood a giant figure.

A MONSTER BOY!

A colossal, hulking boy with thick muscles and strange orange skin. He was so huge that his head was scraping the ceiling, and two twisted arms hung at his sides.

We watched in horror as he turned, his huge eyes landing on us. The light of the Volcano Steam flickered on his face, lighting his features. He looked oddly familiar...

"REGGIE?!" Vanessa and Daniel gasped at the same time, and that's when I realised. Bloody hell, what on earth is happening?

"How?!" Lonz yelled.

"How are you doing with our bet?" the mutant roared, and I recognised Reggie's voice, but it was deeper and louder, barely understandable. And then, he simply picked up a large display case filled with china dishes and hurled it out of his way like it was an empty pizza box!
