The road back home would take a while.
After crossing the brook, there was yet another mile.
His face was etched with a silly little smile–
From the thought of the girl from the mountain hut.

From grass, to dirt, then the stone-paved way
He finally reached his home, when it was still day.
The lonesome wooden door made him replay
In his mind, the day he met the girl from the mountain hut.

The door opened but it was not her standing there.
Maria opened the door and brought him inside their lair.
"His mother must be relieved, for heard were her prayers,"
Thought the girl from the mountain hut.

Seth told him about his travelling all around.
He spoke of the forest nightlife's colour and sound.
He spoke of the encounters he had around.
But, he did not speak about the girl from the mountain hut.

He kept his promise, like he said he would.
But secrets never stay secret, no matter hidden well or good.
One day, someone will find the mystery hidden among those woods–
The mystery of the girl from the mountain hut.

In a picturesque manner, his window held the hill.
He thought of meeting up with his friends, for he had time to kill.
He drank with them in the local bar, talking randomly but could not spill–
The secret of the girl from the mountain hut.

Suddenly, the club's door opened up wide.
A few people clad in black, walked inside.
The calm atmosphere seemed to have intensified–
Those people felt different, like the girl from the mountain hut.

To those people, he and his friends barely paid attention.
But Seth's had a gut feeling that they had come with wrong intentions.
Little did he know, how true was his prediction–
About himself, those people and the girl from the mountain hut.
