The Scout and The Girl Under The Floor
Lincoln:
The sun was beginning to set and I could feel my heart rate pick up. A wave of calm radiated through my body as the magic of the night fills us all. I knew that my intended would be feeling this too. Octavia, Clarke, Raven and Kiran had disappeared about an hour before sundown, as tradition stated, the two to be mated must be separated. The intention was that if they are truly meant to bond, they will find their pair in the wilderness before sunrise.
Heda had just released us to follow the magic of the night; I knew she would disappear into the woods to find Clarke. I had no doubt in my entire being that Heda and Clarke would be mated before sunrise. I looked forward to seeing their shared mark.
Following my heart, I found myself running towards a small clearing near the north waterfalls where the butterflies gathered. It took only a candlemark to get to that clearing and I stood at the edge of it, looking around. Across the field, the butterflies scattered as they were startled by someone entering the clearing. I smiled brightly as I spotted her, my intended. She hesitated, clearly she hadn't spotted me. Stepping into the clearing I opened my arms to her.
She raced across the clearing and jumped into my arms.
"I take you, Octavia Blake kom Skaikru, as my bonded." I spoke softly, nodding for her to agree.
"I take you, Lincoln kom Trikru, as my bonded." She repeated, surprising herself.
"It is the magic of the night." I answered before she had the chance to ask. Without hesitation, I lifted her off her feet and captured her lips.
It was near dawn that we finally untangled from one another, fully bonded. I smiled as I spotted a new mark on my mate, our bonding mark. The two marks across her shoulder blades matched the two tattoos across my chest, but a slight difference seemed to be added. Looking down at my chest, I spotted the difference between the marks of my tattoo. I leaned forward to get a better look, a small sun shone from the center of the two larger marks.
The walk back to the village was filled with quiet talk about the memories shared and gentle care of our bite marks. As the walls of the village came into view, I spotted several other couples making their way back as well. Far off, just barely in view, was Raven and Anya, heads close together as Raven wrapped her arm around Anya's waist. I wondered what memories were shared between the two.
I watched Lexa disappear into the woods, knowing my second would bond tonight with her soul mate. I felt nothing but pride for her. Shaking myself from memories of times gone by, I made my way into the forest and began to wander where my heart led me. It was near midnight when I stumbled onto a small cove near where I met Raven for the first time. Spotting a figure relaxing on a large rock near the river's edge, I smirked. Of course she would be in just her tank top and a pair of small shorts. I made my presence known to her and she smiled at me.
"About time you got here, Cheekbones!" She called out, wiggling her finger at me.
I took my time crossing the small cove area, kneeling in front of her.
"I take you, Raven Reyes kom Skaikru, as my bonded." I watched as her eyes went wide as the correct response entered her mind.
"I take you, Anya kom Trikru, as my bonded." Her words echoed in the air, words I never thought I would hear from the one I loved.
Leaning forward I captured her lips. She tangled her fingers in my hair and pulled me on top of her.
Sunlight is what woke us up just a few hours after our mating finished. Across my left calf a new mark had appeared, matching the new mark on my mate's right bicep. A raven sitting on a branch, with Trikru symbols hidden among its feathers. A signal of strength and wisdom, with the backing of the might of Trikru, a perfect combination of the two of us. I gently caressed my mate's arm in an attempt to wake her up. When that failed I took my water skin and poured a bit on her face.

"What..." she shot to a sitting position looking around. "What was that for?"
"You want breakfast or do you wanna sleep all day?" I laughed softly, as I took my shirt and dried her face.
"Now I see why Teenage Lexa was such a pain in the ass to you." She commented, a large smile on her face.
"Oh?"
"You used to wake her up like that too."
"Until she learned to wake up on her own, I did." Pulling her to her feet, I helped put her jacket back on.
"I don't see why you are making me put my clothes back on, when you are just going to want me to take them back off later."
"My mate will not be on display for anyone other than me." I glared at her for a moment before pulling her into a searing kiss. "Once we get back to TonDC, we can celebrate in any way you want, Ai Reivon."
She placed her hand on my collar, her fingertips brushing over my bite. "Let's go home, Cheekbones."
Rolling my eyes, I picked her up and tossed her onto my back. She wrapped her legs around my waist and her arms around my neck. We made our way back to TonDC, continuing to try and make the other squirm. Just a few feet from the edge of the forest, I let Raven down from my back and she quickly grabbed my hand.
"You may be a General... but you are my mate. I will never be ashamed of that."
"You might be a Skai girl... but you are my mate, and I will train you to be Trikru." I answered, basking in the smile my words created. We walked into the village completely wrapped up in each other.
