I was overly stressed about my upcoming song release. I couldn't stop thinking about the fans reactions, would they like it? I think the whole moving to LA from my home was really taking a tole on my writing inspiration so I decided to go out for a walk. I grab Cyprus's dog leash. Cyprus is my golden retriever and i've had him for a couple years so he's a big boy and not a puppy. I hook his leash onto his collar and exit my apartment, walking to the lift.
I let my legs lead me to a destination, which just so happened to be a beach. When I had lived in Australia all I ever did was visit the beach, it was almost my second home. The sand on my feet and the ocean smell in my wet hair was all too familiar. I now wished I had worn a swimsuit, maybe i'd have to come back another time. I unclip Cyprus' leash as we make our way down the stand and he immediately runs over to the water.
Cyprus also loved the beach, I would always take him to play in the water when he wanted to go for walks. While he plays in the water I take a seat on the sand, the hot summer sun was setting and the moon would soon awaken, so I just stared at the sunset sky. I always adored a good sunset, it's almost as if they wash all my worries away, it's beautiful colours filling my body with calmness and relief. That's why whenever i'm stressed, upset or hurt I watch the sun die everyday just to let the moon live for the night.
