I stood with my mouth parted at the scenery in front of me. There were flowers everywhere of every color, fire flies flying above it and everywhere. There was a large tree in the middle with pink cherry blossoms falling ever so often. In the back there was a little hill with a water fall that create a little stream down that led to the woods in the back. I noticed a quilt laid under the tree with a white blanket. Cade grabbed my hand softly and walked us to the tree, we sat on the quilt under the covers.
"This is amazing Cade.. thank you." I whispered loud enough for him to hear, I've been very stressed these past few days with Xavier I could finally relax a little now.
"Of course, cupcake." He smiled at me. He yawned then laid his back against the ground with his hands behind his head, staring up into the night sky filled with sparkling stars. I joined him. After a few moments of just stargazing, I asked, "What is something that you always wanted to do in life?"
He turned his head towards me, his hazel eyes boring into mine. He looked ethereal, his cute freckles that spread across his nose and upper cheeks, his full pink lips and fluffy brown hair, he was the kind of prince charming that I always dreamed of when I was a kid.
He spoke, "I want to abandon my current life and move to somewhere no one knows me." He continued softly staring at me, "With the love of my life." I blushed, the way he said it made it seem like he was talking about me. I was surprised with his answer because I've always wanted to move to somewhere quiet in Landon and live a quiet life publishing novels.
For a few seconds and what felt like forever, we stared at each other under the starlit night forgetting about everything around us. "What about you?" He asked looking away.
"Similar to yours, I want to move to somewhere peaceful in Landon and live quietly." I said smiling largely, but it didn't last long as I remembered about my life now, I wasn't in control of my own fate. Before I knew it, tears started streaming down my face one by one, "H-Hey what's wrong? Did I say something wrong cupcake?" Cade stammered with a worried look on his face, we were both sitting up now.
"No Cade you're fine, it's just.. me." I frowned as I tried to stop the tears from coming out. "Hey, Hey, you're fine. I'm right here, you can tell me anything, Iss." Cade pulled me into his chest tightly, his arms wrapped around me. I felt safe in his arms, unlike Xavier's possessive and rough hugs his was warm and gentle and it made me feel like the safest girl in the world.
