I sit and stare, in dying light

Power thrumming through my core

The adrenaline from the earlier fight

Is surging, screaming, wanting out - wanting more.

The ancient fire crackles and glows

Singing to what lies within

From upstairs, the music flows

And I am desperate to give in.

My love's eyes glitter with pain

The blood is cracking on my face

Family torn by gifts which drain

Significant insignificance, adrift in mighty space.
