I sit and stare, in dying light
Power thrumming through my core
The adrenaline from the earlier fight
Is surging, screaming, wanting out - wanting more.
The ancient fire crackles and glows
Singing to what lies within
From upstairs, the music flows
And I am desperate to give in.
My love's eyes glitter with pain
The blood is cracking on my face
Family torn by gifts which drain
Significant insignificance, adrift in mighty space.
