𓆉 Sooo hi!!! I know I've been teasing trauma and angsty stuff for a while now but I went through a weird slump and I've been working on some of my super dark stuff that is indeed coming over here as well!!
Anyway, here are some more intense backstory/ background details that just kinda help set up where each character is coming from? I dunno if that makes sense.
𓆉 Granted, a good storyteller would make an effort to include this stuff in the fic but some of this stuff just doesn't seem like it'll come up??? In detail?? I dunno if that makes sense I'm sorry lmao.
Because we all know this is going to be long, I've broken up backstories into two chapters!
The Moon (Michael, Pete and Henrietta + Firkle for funsies!)
And the Sun (Rosaline, Mike and Eve.)
INTENSE TRIGGER WARNING: heavy discussion of child abuse, cancer, parent death. Alcoholism, drug mention I mean this shit gets heavy :O

❄ Michael ❄
❄ Michael Levi Merando (Later Seong ) was born on November 13th in the redneck mountain town of South Park Colorado to parents Arthur Curtis Merando and Skyla Seong (traditionally, Seong Skyla).
It's important to note that Arthur had a very well-paying job as an architect and Skyla didn't work as she intended to stay home and take care of her son.
Both Arthur and Skyla loved their son deeply and wanted nothing but the best for him and things were going fairly well for the first few years of his life. Being a ya know-- baby, Michael was unaware of the rising tension growing between his parents.
December 22nd, three days before Michaels's second Christmas, Skyla, unfortunately, discovered the cause of the growing tension between her and her boyfriend-- Ashoka. (Kien Duyen Ashoka respectfully)
This caused an explosive fight that Michael obviously has no real memory of. It resulted in Arthur kicking Skyla out as soon as Christmas was over.
This gave Skyla exactly three days to get her things together and figure out where she was going to live.
Christmas passed and Michael was completely and utterly unaware of what was happening-- except that his mother seemed different. Obviously, being a toddler meant that he had no idea how nor did he fully understand it but he knew something was off-- if that makes sense.
By December 27th, Skyla was gone--devastated this happened and that she lost someone she truly loved but mostly heartbroken she had to leave her son behind.
By February, Ashoka was living with Arthur and Michael, and that summer, Michael had a stepmother.
Being a baby while this was going on, Michael was unaware of the war going on in court as Skyla was trying desperately to be able to see her son, but Arthur was persistent in keeping Michael away from Skyla--purely out of spite.
Eventually, Arthur was successful in doing this and had full custody of his son.
Years started to pass and Memories of Skyla started fading-- if you were to ask Michael if he remembered his mother he'd tell you no. He had no memory of her. as time went by, Ashoka began to complain more and more about Michael-- claiming he was Arthurs baggage. This negative influence led to Arthur starting to resent and distance himself from his own son.
This led to some struggles socially though finding himself two very good friends in second grade-- Henrietta Lydia Biggle and Pete Alexander Thelman helped drastically.
