Two weeks later
For two weeks we worked our asses off. Mia and I were both absolutely terrible at dancing, which only angered Autumn more. We dealt with nonstop insults as she shouted at us like a drill Sergeant.

Mia and I simultaneously collapsed to the floor, exhausted out of our mind. My chest was tight, my breathing labored, and my feet hurt like hell. Did I mention we had to wear stiletto heels?

I reached for the bottled water resting against the wall, twisting and popping off the cap, before downing almost half of the refreshing liquid.

I let out an overly exaggerated sigh of satisfaction when my body began to cool down and my throat was no longer dry.

Autumn rolled her eyes, wiping at the beads of sweat slicked across her forehead. "It wasn't even that bad."

"Bitch," Mia said, sitting up with a scoff and a frown. "I better be pregnant by the end of this shit, or I'm shoving my stiletto'd foot up your tiny, Spanish ass."

I don't think she actually wanted to have more kids, so I took her comment as merely a joke and laughed.

Autumn rolled her eyes once more, before bending down to grab and sling her duffel bag over her shoulder. "I'm starving," she groaned. "Let's stop by the cafe."

My stomach grumbled in response. I was also hungry. We haven't eaten anything since breakfast this morning, because Autumn has been on our ass to perfect this choreography. She's got us doing all kinds of flips and spins.

Although Luciano and I weren't together like everyone else, I agreed because I thought it would be fun. I've always enjoyed making him flustered and uncomfortable. It brings out a side of him that I think would make any girl fall to their knees.

"Sounds good to me," Mia replied, standing up. "I need to discuss some things with Leah anyway."

After changing into a pair of shoes that didn't feel like walking on rocks, we headed over to Mia's Cafe.

I slid into the booth, Autumn sliding in beside me shortly after, while Mia disappeared into the back to speak with a woman I assume is her friend and co-worker.

I flip open the menu in front of me, skimming over the list of choices. There was so much to choose from. Burgers, salads, sub sandwiches, desserts, and more.

When a young waiter stopped by our table to take our orders, I ended up going with the fruit salad, while Autumn chose almost half the items on the menu.

The waiter nodded, writing down our orders in his little white notepad, before slipping away to tend to the other customers.

"Are you seriously going to eat all of that?" I questioned, disbelief so clearly laced in my tone. I didn't mean it in a judgemental way. I was just surprised. I've never met anyone with an appetite like hers.

She shook her head. "No, of course not. I ordered Mia a burger and fries." She said it like that made much of a difference. She still had plates and plates of food to herself.

Deciding it best not to press her further on her seemingly endless pit of a stomach, I took a sip of my water and waited for Mia to return.

By the time she rejoined us, the waiter was setting our orders down in front of us. Mia didn't seem to be bothered by the amount of food Autumn ordered in the slightest.

She simply thanked Autumn and the waiter, and got to work on the plate of food in front of her.

I nibbled on a piece of lettuce while I watched Autumn scarf down her food from the corner of my eye. I tried letting it go, but failed to swallow the question swirling in my mind.
