Episode 12: Inky Invitation

"HAH! You still loooosst!" Inky sang as she laughed aloud, echoing through the small room. Lightning huffed and crossed his arms. She was still taunting him about this loss? It was a while ago now!

"I did not account for an outside hero helping. Had they not shown I would have succeeded-"

"So you say, you got tossed like a rock! Even before spaceman mc noodle arms came in you got decked a few times! HAHAHAHAAAA"

"Silence harpy! You are testing my patience!"

"What are you gonna do, fight me? I'll toss you like a pebble sparky boy!"

"Silence both of you!"

Both monsters froze as the voice over the spine commanded them. Inky grumbled in annoyance as they continued.

"Our previous attempts to capture them have failed, but we shall succeed now. Inky, have you prepared properly?"

"Yeah yeah, I got those seeds planted. Those hero's won't know what hit them!"

"Remember, I want them alive-"

"Yeah yeah alive and well and don't break the Belts blah blah I got it" inky rolled her eyes.

"Good, do not fail me"

"I'll do what I want!" She snapped out of reflex, but looked to the side and huffed, "But I want to win anyway" Inky stuck her tongue out, the voice on the other end groaned before hanging up. Lightning looked over at her.

"Do you get enjoyment out of annoying our master?"

"Master? I'm no servant to anyone. And if they start talking like they own me I'll find them and wring their neck!" Inky slammed a fist on the table, causing the utensils to shake. Lightning sighed.

"Believe what you will."

Inky shoved herself out of the chair and spun around, knocking the very same seat over with her wings.

"I'm going to win today, regardless of what anyone says! Those hero's will pay!" She grinned wickedly as she remembered her bitter defeat to that newbie hero long ago.

"Just you wait White, I will have my revenge!"

Rin sighed to himself as he let himself flop back onto Neon j's couch, he had called them all out of school for an emergency meeting, apparently he couldn't wait till after school. It was almost lunch time too... Thankfully Marcie had made them a meal.
Zimelu didn't seem to be that worked up about missing class, but Rin was worried... well maybe not about class...
Rin sat back on the couch as he looked at the two tickets in his hand. He had won them from a raffle, two tickets to a live performance, he knew Zuke liked the band playing and wanted to ask him to go with him.

"Eyo Romeo stop daydreaming for a sec" Zimelu's voice suddenly jolted Rin from his daydream.
"Z-zim!"

"Yeah yeah don't do that- listen I just got the best setup for you" he grinned. "Heard from mayday that Zuke is gonna be spending 5th period today in the music room to practice more, he'd be alone in there like the whole time, You should go ask him on your date then!"

"W-w-wait it's not a date-"

"Close enough. Point is that's your chance! You got this" The red teen encouraged. "Ask him out at school today! You'll do great"

"Hhhhh" well now Rin feels even more nervous. He was about to try and talk himself into it when Neon called them over.

"Okay boys! I need to go over something with you today, can you all meet in the kitchen?"
