There's the sound of a tape recorder clicking as a distorted voice speaks into it
"Log date xx/xx/20xx So far my research into trying to find some weakness in 1010 heros has proven fruitless, and frankly frustrating. I don't enjoy revisiting previous failures. So to hopefully motivate me I've taken to watching the first appearance of the blue team member, which also happens to be the closest we've gotten to defeating the heros when they were new. Frankly the fact such a... poorly thought out monster nearly worked I'm unsure whether to find amusing or disappointing." There's a click and the rustling of clothing as a tape is put into a cassette player

Zimelu looked up at the house as he approached the door, he had been visiting more lately, though he was still getting used to all this, well it was Better than staying home at least. So he knocked on the door. A few moments later the maid bot Marcie opened it. She gave a smile when she saw the red teenager.
"Ah! Mister Zimelu. Good morning! There's breakfast being served currently, you're welcome to help yourself" she said happily as she stepped aside. Zimelu steppes into the house with a small grin.
"Awesome! I'm starving, thanks Marcie." And he jogged ahead. Neon j was sitting at the table with a half eaten plate of eggs and toast. He looked up as Zimelu walked in.
"Ah, good morning Zimelu, foods still warm, help yourself to a plate" Zimelu nodded and did just that. Zimelu had barely sat down when Rin appeared from a doorway, he was wearing a baggy shirt and sweatpants, and his hair was a mess like he just woke up. Zimelu looked over and shoveled a fork full of eggs into his mouth.
"You look like shit dude" he declared after he swallowed his food.
"Oh- Hey zim, just woke up. Didn't know you'd be here this early" he mumbled with a tired smile as he went to get his own plate of food. Zimelu tilted his head.
"Wait, you just woke up? What do you sleep here or something?"
"Sometimes." Rin answered with a shrug leaving Zimelu blinking in surprise.
"Huh..." he shrugged and continued to eat.
They had all nearly finished when Rin suddenly jumped up.
"Oh! I was gonna talk about the list!" He said pushing his chair and making a run out of the kitchen.
"The list??" Zimelu called over, to which Rin replied
"The list!!" With no further explanation. Zimelu looked over to neon j for some kind of explanation but he just nodded,
"Ah right the list! It's very important" Zimelu just huffed in frustration, guess he'd have to wait to be told about this. While Zim waited he looked over and noticed neon hadn't eaten anything else from from his plate. Odd, then Zim realized neon j has a screen for a head how was he able to eat in the first place?? But before he could voice this concern Rin returned, running back to the table and thumping a notebook down with a grin. He plopped himself back into his seat and opened the book.
"Okay! So new team members. I got a list of people I think could work, I want you to look over it first though, since we're all gonna be team mates." He says flipping to the page he was looking for. Once found he turned the notebook over and handed it to Zimelu, who took t and glanced over the names. Most of them were people he didn't know, or got into a fight with at some point. Though one name gave him pause.
"Isn't Purl-Hew that straight A student guy?"
"Yeah him! He's super smart so he's gotta he a good fit right?" Rin smiles. Zimelu shrugged.
"I guess so, he's chill, got partnered with him for a science project once. He wasn't like a jerk so I guess he's okay" neon j looked over as Rin opened up the yearbook he brought with him and pointed out Purl-Hew to neon j, he was a blue haired teen with round glasses and reddish pink eyes. Neon j got a good feeling about him and nodded.
"Alright, I'll try and talk to him. Know where I can find Purl-Hew?"
"Yep!" Rin nods. He is usually at the public library on the weekends. You're best bet is finding him there" Rin smiled helpfully. Neon j nodded and stood up, picking up his plate to finish eating elsewhere.
"Alright, thank you, I'll head out in a bit." And he walked off, leaving Rin and Zimelu at the table. Zim glanced over at Rin
"So uh, if thats all you needed me for I guess I should go?"
"Wait no not yet! I gotta discuss something vary important with you!" He declared sitting up a bit straighter. Zimelu raises a brow and slowly replied
"Okay... and what would that be?"
Rin grinned excitedly.
