Season 2 Episode 3: Movie Madness

A man sighed as he set down a previous top hat. Once he has been a beloved performer at a traveling circus, then when that faded a beloved street performer, but nowadays he was known as nothing more than a street vender selling snacks near parks. It just wasn't the same.

"Maybe one day I'll start a show again" he sighed leaving the room. Unaware of something small and goopy that crawled into the window. It zeroed in on the top hat and punched.

If he wanted a show? He'd get one! He wasn't the only one missing the stage!!

When the man returned he let out a cry of shock! The window was open, and the hat was gone, leaving behind dried up bits of dark purple goop,

[Intro plays: it's showtime!]

Rin hummed to himself as he walked down the sidewalk, barely suppressing the skip in his step.
But how could he not be excited? He was seeing a movie today, and not just with anyone,
He was seeing a movie with his boyfriend,

His boyfriend! Zuke was his boyfriend! He wanted to jump with excitement just at the thought.

And speaking of his boyfriend, he's meeting up with him today for a date! They've been playing this for a few days now, they're seeing a movie and if they're hungry, going to get dinner somewhere.
It was simple but meaningful to the both of them.

Rin picked up his pace when he saw Zuke in front of the movie theatre. He waved as he approached.

"Zuke!!!" Rin called dashing over to give him a hug.

"Hey Rin" Zuke chuckles as he hugs back. "You made it"

"I wouldn't miss this for the world" he smiled, holding Zukes hand as he pulled away. "So, the movies starting soon right? Let's go get some good seats" Zuke nodded and the two walked inside.

The movie itself was some action comedy, it's a film both of them were looking forward too, so it made perfect sense to go see it! Thankfully there were two seats in one of the railing rows still available, so they scooted over to claim them.

And what perfect timing they had! As the commercials soon faded and the lights dimmed. The movie stating soon.

Zuke had gotten a soda for he movie, and Rin held the popcorn bucked they were sharing.

Rin couldn't help but wiggle in excitement as the movie started, he had been looking forward to this day for weeks! An exciting movie, getting to spend it with someone he loved.

He was on a date with his boyfriend!! How could he not be excited?

And just as Rin reached over to hold Zukes hand, he felt something in his pocket buzz,
And he knew it wasn't his phone.

Oh why now???

"Something wrong?" Zuke glanced over, Rin looked upset. He really couldn't ignore this call.

"I'm.. im really sorry but something just came up family emergency-"

"Hey it's alright," Zuke gave a patient smile, "do what you've got to do." He didn't seem upset but Rin still felt aweful

"I'll make it up to you I promise!" Rin quietly declares before handing Zuke the popcorn before scooting out of his seat and running from the movie theatre. Zuke sighed but shrugged, he knew what he was signing up for with dating Rin. Super hero work comes before life sometimes.

Run scurried out to the back of the building, and once he was sure nobody was around he held his watch up and declared

"Boots to the ground!"

The flight out didn't take long, if anything White looked like he was rushing to get there. Rushing to meet up with everyone and then rushing out.

"Hey White you okay?" Red asked, but Green gave him a look, theeeen Red remembered what White has been doing earlier.

"Oh! Ohhh. Uh, sorry buddy" he apologized.

"It's.. it's fine, let's just get this over with." White sighed but flew ahead. He definitely wasn't in the usual mood when fighting monsters. But soon enough the monster in question was visible.
They looked like some sort of distorted ring master with a hat covering half of their face.

He turned to them and grinned

"Ah! Hero's! You're not match for the greatest villain the one the only-"

"I'm sorry, can we not do this today." White sighed, just really not feeling the villains cheesy speech. The other blinked and sputtered.

"What? What's going on, don't You hero's eat this stuff up?"

"He's not having a good day, sorry!" Green apologized, White gave a depressed sigh.

"I had to cancel a date with my boyfriend for this" white whimpered

"Oh! Oh my goodness I'm so sorry!" The villain looked genuinely upset to be told that. "We can skip right to the fight then.

"That'd be nice thanks"

"Okay! So," the villain tilted their hat a bit, as if thinking. "Something something... I'll defeat you heroes!" He declared while pointing dramatically.

"I'd like to see you try!" Yellow called back while he and the others took a defensive stance.

And the battle was on, and yet the whole time they were fighting the comedically cartoonish monster, White couldn't help thinking about how he was going to apologize to Zuke later.

School that day felt awkward for Rin, it didn't help that he somehow didn't see Zuke that day, they didn't have any classes they shared and Rin couldn't find him at lunch, he assumed he had band practice with Mayday and didn't want to intrude.

It wasn't until the end of he day that he finally could find his partner. He spotted the blue haired teen outside of the building, and so he quickly picked up his pace.

"Zuke!" Rin called as he dashed over to where his partner stood, it was after school hours and zuke was sitting by the fountain waiting for mayday. He looked up when Rin ran over, the white haired teen hugged him but quickly spoke up before zuke could get a word out.

"I'm so sorry I had to cut our date short. There was an emergency and- and I'm sorry, I'll make it up to you!"

"Rin" zuke spoke softly, though unfortunately he wasn't loud enough to stop Rin from rambling.
"We could go see another movie? I'll pay for it this time-"

"Rin." Zuke sighed, unfortunately this wasn't enough to get his attention.

"Or we could just get dinner! I still feel really bad for having to cancel plans like that it won't happen again I prom-"

Zuke leaned in and gave Rin a quick kiss, it wasn't long, but just enough to shut him up. Zuke leaned back with a calm smile, a hand placed on his shoulder.

"Rin it's okay. Life happens. I know that you care, and I'm happy just to spend time with you, Fancy date or not. And I'm not upset if you get pulled away for important stuff, so don't beat yourself up for things out of your control okay?" Zuke spoke with a smile. Rin blushed cherry pink and was rendered speechless from the action, so he just nodded. Zuke pulled the other into a hug, and they simply held each other for a while before Rin spoke.

"Have I said how lucky I am to have you?"

"Several times," Zuke chuckled. "But I'm just as lucky as you are."
