Today was officially the last day of Baker Jelani's Cafe until we officially close. We had more customers today than ever.

I tried to forget about the incident with Zach. I haven't seen or spoken to him since then. I didn't even face him about what I heard. I didn't even told anyone about what I heard.

Just for now, I want to focus on the cafe.

"You coming to the park tonight?" Angel asks as we both make coffee. She was making a cappuccino while I was working on a latte.

"Not sure"

"You okay?" she asks worriedly going towards the front to serve the customer their coffee. I take a deep breath in as she comes back, "talk about it later?" I suggest. She nods not saying another word.

I walk up to the register with the latte in hand. I was starstruck when I was face to face with none other but Brian Quinn.

"Hi" I accidentally squeeze the coffee cup. The hot liquid burns my hand but I try to play it cool.

"How can I he-alp you?" I ask unusually, as the most beautiful man is standing right in front of me.

"Hi" he gives me a weird look, "does that hurt? Are you okay?" He points to the cup.

"Huh? Oh yeah I'm fine. This coffee was bad anyways" I throw it in the bin. I look back at Angel telling her to make another latte with my eyes. She nods giving me the thumbs up.

"What can I help you with?" My legs begin to shake. What is he doing to me?

I look away and avoiding all contact. He just makes me feel weak, and I just can't concentrate at all when he's around.

"The usual, please"

"Sure, so a latte and a choc chip cookie?"

"Yep?" He says more like a question. He looks at the direction at where I was looking at. Shit.

He looks back at me confusedly. As if I were mad. Clearly he was wondering what I was so interested about, but I wasn't interested in anything besides him. I look down at the register embarrassed.

"Cash or card?"

"Card"

"Whenever you're ready" I pass him the machine. He taps as it then beeps indicating that his card got accepted.

"Won't be long" I smile. He smiles back as he then walks to the other line.

"Hi can I please have a sample of the Black Forest cake?" A woman with a British accent asks without me summoning her. She catches my attention.

"It's my daughter's birthday and she is in need of a cake. She loves Black Forest cakes and I have to get her the perfect one" she explains.

"Of course" I nod. I take a swab out of it our samples before handing it to her.

"Do you have a full cake of it? Because this is just... simply delicious" she smacks her lips.
