Its been about 2 weeks since I was cast out of the Xiao sect and to be honest, I don't miss it. Don't get me wrong I miss my father alot and hope he is well but all those basterds and pompous elders along with that heartless patriarch, one day I will return once I have enough power and kill them all for dishonoring my family. But that's enough talks of revenge for now. I'm currently in the white mist forest and it's quite peaceful here. My father warned me about monstrous beasts but I have yet to even see any signs of one. He must have been exaggerating about that just to ensure that I keep my wits about me. "Damn I'm hungry. I think I'll go catch me a lightning rabbit for dinner. With all the traps I spent a week making, I'm sure I'll be able to finally have a decent dinner cause I really don't want to eat wandering tree grubs again." Monstrous beasts all have different levels to them. Like the lightning rabbit for example, they are only level 1 monsters so they pose no threat whatsoever. "Screee". The sound of a lightning rabbit caught in one of my traps. Seems I won't be going hungry tonight  or so I thought. As a passed through some bush, I came upon a small clearing where I had laid my trap and a fat juicy lightning rabbit had been caught. I took out my knife that I fashioned from stone and stab the rabbit in its heart to grant it a mercy killing. About fifteen minutes later, I was back at my little camp and got a fire going to roast the rabbit. Earlier in the week, I came across a bed of rosemary and lemon grass so I figured why not just roast the rabbit with that to add some flavor. Twenty minutes later the rabbit was done roasting and I had just sat back down upon the ground  to take my first bite out of it and a roar that resounded like thunder next to my ear echoed throughout my tiny camp. "Damn, the scent from the rabbit attracted him." In about 5 minutes, a giant soul cutting tiger appeared with blood in his eyes and a empty stomach by the looks of things. I took off thru the forest like I was a thunder rabbit darting left to right as I went. That time was right on my behind cause i could have hear it's breath as it neared me. Before I knew it, I had ran out of the forest and at the edge of a cliff. I looked behind me and the tiger was just pacing left to right waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike and kill me. But I had already mad.my father a promise that I would see him again, so I turned around, pulled out my knife and squared up against the tiger. In a split second it was upon me like the plague. Claws swiping and grabbing at my flesh and its jaws sinked into my arms as I fought it off stabbing it in its neck and side. After about twenty minutes of bitter struggles, it finally released me and breathed its last. I couldn't believe I actually slew a level monstrous beast and by myself with any martial arts. My celebrations were short lived as I started to feel light headed from the blood lost. I forced myself up off the ground and looked around for some kind of refuge where I could have healed my wounds and rest. Upon further investigations upon the cliffs edge, I happen to see a small cave opening almost hidden behind a fallen tree trunk. I crawled over to it and made my way inside through the small entrance. I probably made it in about 10 feet before I collapsed from blood loss. In-between coming to and from, I heard a strange voice calling out to me and it kept saying,"Berserker". After about five hours of gaining my composure and balance, the voice started to get louder and then it said to come deeper. After walking for about half an hour, I came to a wide open space and a skeleton that was atleast 10 times the size of an average human. At first I thought it was maybe just the lighting in the room but soon realized that the skeleton was gold in color. After taking in the scene a bit, I took a few steps forward before a voice rang out thru the cavern and said,"Weak mortal, you dare enter the tomb of the Berserker God. What qualifications grants you the right to disturb this God's slumber? Speak or I shall destroy you where you stand." Xiao Chen was taken aback for a moment back firmly responded, "I seek the power to rise above all and become a peerless immortal like the legendary Meng Hao." The skeleton paused for a moment then let out a hearty laugh replying, "You want to be like Meng Hao? You do not even possess a speck of talent nor have a cultivation base for that matter. Your meridians are trash therefore you have no qualifications to even kiss meng hao's boots let alone become a peerless immortal." Xiao Chen replied with fury,"You dare mock me aswell, then I shall destroy your skeleton and curse your spirit for all eternity you worthless scum. For someone who calls themselves a God, I've never heard of you." The skeleton shouted with rage,"Stinky brat you dare question this deities' power!? Good good. This God shall show you its might but you will experience a pain like no other so don't have any regrets!" The skeleton's eyes started to glow a bright red color then a flash of red light engulfed Xiao Chen and almost instantaneously he felt a excruciating pain come over his body. He could feel his meridians being burned out of his body with such extreme heat that he could feel the skin starting to crackle. After about a time it takes a incense to burn, the meridians were completely gone and at that time Xiao Chen had fallen unconscious from the pain. The Berserker rage God laughed and said,"That was the easy part. Now begins the hard part. Remember this feeling well Xiao Chen. Rage will fuel your cultivation and take you to.new heights even meng hao couldn't fathom of reaching. Call this good fortune that you happen to find me mortal, for all shall remember who I was through you.  Use my power well Xiao Chen, for I shall be watching from the realm of immortals. Also, happy birthday mortal." The skeleton glowed brightly and turned into a golden mist that blew into Xiao Chen nose and immediately his eyes shot open and he howled like the demons from hell from the pain of his meridians forcefully growing back. Almost an entire day it took for the process to be completed and his howls could have been heard for almost one hundred miles in all directions. Anyone in the area hunting and cultivating at the time immediately left the area due to fear that a ancient demon had been awakened. By dusk fall, Xiao Chen's meridians had completely regrown and where extremely thick that glowed with a gold and red hue. After a few moments, he opened his eyes and realized the skeleton was gone. He thought to himself had it all just been a dream or was he hallucinating from blood loss from the attack earlier. It only took him a few seconds to realized all of his wounds were completely healed and he could the power of heaven and earth flowing around him. "I never felt the power of heaven and earth before. Did that Berserker God really bestow upon me the power to cultivate? Good good. I shall try to cultivate." Xiao Chen circulated his cultivation base and almost instantly he advanced from level one foundation establishment straight to level 10. "Monstrous. Truly monstrous strength. The Berserker God surely wasn't just all talk about his power. This technique will definitely allow me to surpass the legendary meng Hao from 1,000 years ago who stepped into the realm of immortals." Xiao Chen is now a peak foundation establishment cultivator. From there, he has to break through to the body tempering stage, then core formation, dao pillar, nascent soul, dao seeking, spirit severing, and finally immortal ascension. Xiao Chen knows he has a long way to go but he isn't a man that will back down from a challenge now that he has the power to restore his mother and father's honor in the Xiao Sect. "I couldn't have asked for a better birthday present. I finally can begin my journey towards becoming a peerless immortal. Now that I can cultivate, I need to find a new sect to join to learn martial arts. I think I will head to Purple Cloud Sect in Ba Sing city to the north." With that, Xiao Chen exited the cave and began his journey to the purple cloud Sect where he would begin his journey and make a name for himself in the martial world.
