The art of returning

The train station Kings Cross was filled with parents and their children. It wasn't as full as the start of the year as not all of the students were there but finding the person you were looking for was still not as easy as some might have thought it would be.

When Curare finally found her father, due to him standing beside Lucius Malfoy whose hair was quite recognizable, she threw herself into his arms. Tom wasn't expecting this but he managed to catch his little sunshine before they both fell on the floor very ungracefully.

"I missed you my little snake" he whispered into her ear and he truly had. He had spent hours staring at the big painting over the fireplace in the main living-room. He had had it done when she was ten.

To everyones horror just as Tom and Curare  pulled apart there was a very loud hiss and suddenly Nagini slithered between the legs of the people on the platform, making them shriek out in shock and fear. They certainly weren't expecting it. A second later Rabastan Lestrange pushed his way past the crowd trying to get to the giant venomous snake before something bad happened. Like she eating a child or something. Or though Rabastan wouldn't mind if a few Gryffindors or Hufflepuffs ended up as a snack. He never did like lions and badgers just gave him a headache.

Someone out of the crowd tried to hex Nagini, hoping to get rid of the giant serpent who had just suddenly appeared and was still making its way towards the other end of the platform. Nagini didn't even bother to turn to the person as the hex just crashed against some protective charm that she obviously had.

Molly Weasley pulled as many of her children as she could closer to herself, only managing to crab Ginny, Percy and Harry in the end, the twins being dragged out of the way by their father and Ron just standing there like an idiot, staring at the huge beast that was coming closer and closer to him. He was pretty sure his new top fear was snakes. Especially when Nagini opened her mouth to hiss, showing her huge fangs, glaring at everyone with her big yellow eyes. Any biologist would have been swooning at the sight.

Just then someone finally shouted 'Nagini' making the snake turn its head to the side. Nagini made what sounded like a happy hiss when she saw her hatchling standing there, albeit with a horrified expression.

Within a second Nagini was curling herself around Curares small figure giving her a long lick on the cheek and hissing in comfort, her tail wrapped around Curares abdomen. Everyone was watching the scene unfold, a camera was flashing somewhere, until there was a loud crash.

Rabastan had managed to run straight into Nevilles trolly making the trunk on top fall off and open, allowing an angry plant who had been awoken by the sudden movement to wrap its branched around Rabastans leg, tripping him over again when he tried to get up.

It was a hilarious sight to be honest. There on the floor was a well known pureblood wrestling a plant in the middle of platform 9 3/4 while everyone else was just staring at him, nobody even moving an inch to help.

"I knew I should have listened in Herbology" the younger Lestrange brother said groaning loudly when the plant ripped off the left sleeve of his expensive dress shirt. A few people gasped when they saw the snake tattoo on display, many seeing it in real life for the first time.

Tom smacked his palm against his forehead. Rita Skeeter would not dare to write anything revolving a Death eater, still to scared after they almost killed her when she manhandled Curare and shouted at her, but there were many other reporters who would make sure this was on the front page of the Daily Prophet.

'Well known Pureblood Death eater Rabastan Lestrange battleing against plants instead of people?'

Oh god and the paperwork! He finally had his daughter back and he would have to spend hours trying to explain the incident. Tom didn't even know what had happened. Suddenly Nagini was on the platform although Tom had left her at home and Rabastan seemed to be 'fonduing' with a plant.

Finally Neville snapped out of it and took the plant by the base, stroked the leaves which made it gurgle and let go of Rabastan. He jumped up as soon as he was freed and looked around, trying to find Nagini whom he was chasing just a second ago just to find his niece wrapped in her embrace. Right next to Tom. His boss. Fuuuuuuck

"Hi uncle Rabastan" Curare said with an awkward wave, considering she was still quite restricted by a large scaly creature who was now half asleep, head on her shoulder, basking in her body heat.

"Hello little snake-lit. It's so good to have you back your father has been-"

"What are you doing her and how did Nagini get here?" Tom demanded interrupting the young male.

Rabastan gave out a weird laugh scratching the back of his head. "Funny you mention that. So you told Nagini she wasn't allowed to go with you and then you left, leaving me behind with an angry snake, thank you for that by the way, buuut then I told her I'd go and meet Curare at the station as well, you know because I had missed her but just before I apparatus away she jumped on he, making her take her with me."

The people around them looked just completely confused, but one glare from Lord Riddle made them all look away quickly and continue their own conversations.

"Hey Curare, happy holidays." A voice said behind them. Curare urned around giving Harry a big smile.

"Thanks you too. Ginny told me you were going to them for Christmas." Harry nodded, a small blush forming on his cheeks.

"So you're like really not coming back in two weeks?" he asked, still hoping she would have changed her mind. Many Gryffindors didn't dislike her although some were still prejudice, but the majority enjoyed spending time around the young girl.

"Jup"

"Well then, perhaps you'll change you mind."

"Perhaps"
