There I was again tonight Forcing laughter, faking smiles

Same old tired lonely place

Coming back to America after a term at Amun boarding school with the whole mystery over the cup and finding out I'm the chosen one and not Joy which is a shocker. Plus I'm now dating Fabian, which took him a while to ask me to the dance and that kiss was spectacular. I spent time with my gran and some friends but to be honest I started feeling alone and found myself at parties with my friends but would fake smiles and laughter when I saw Eddie Miller.

Eddie Miller is the town's newest bad boy so I heard.

Walls of insincerity, Shifting eyes and vacancy

I bumped into him by accident on my way to go outside when our eyes connected and we just stared at each other until his friend called his name and he turned. As I reached the door someone called me.

"Hey, are you leaving already?" Someone asks and I turn around and it's Eddie.

"No, I just want a bit of fresh air," I answered as I grabbed the door handle.

"You don't mind if I join you Nina?" he asks as he follows me outside.

"No, I don't mind," I said to him as we sat in steps outside the house where the party was being thrown.

We just sat and talked for hours and I heard you whisper to yourself, have I met her before? We just laughed at stories that we told and then he noticed I was getting cold he took off his leather jacket and put it on me.

"Well you look good in my jacket!" he exclaimed as we get up from the stairs

"Of course I do," I said to him as I winked at him and I smiled.

After that we exchanged numbers and he walked me back to my car and we agreed to meet the next day.

Once I got home I couldn't stop smiling and blushing. I was so enchanted to have met him and getting to know him. I head to my room once there I go to my computer and I noticed a few emails, one from Amber, Patricia and lastly Fabian. I then realized I have a whole boyfriend but it's not like Fabian is ever going to know Eddie.

The lingering question kept me up

I and Eddie spent the whole summer hanging out but it all changed one night. It was the 4th of July. We were at the beach with our friends having fun when he kissed me and I saw sparks fly which scared me since I'm still with fabian. I started to question who I have feelings for but I know this thing with Eddie won't last since I will be back in England soon.

With that kiss me and Eddie's relationship changed. We both knew that this was a summer romance that would end sooner than later. I got to see him in a different light. The bad boy persona is just a mask that he hides behind. His dad left his mother and him before he was born. His dad lives in England who he doesn't see and he is funny, protective of those he cares about loves the sick puppies, plays the guitar, and many other things that make him charming. One night he planned a surprise dinner and he asked me to stay and not go back to Anubis but I couldn't. He said I hope you don't have anyone waiting on you over there. That's when I told him about the people I have in England and about Fabian and how guilty I feel about cheating on him and that even though I have feelings for you.

He took my hand and told me "I love you too but I can't do this with you. Maybe in the distant future, we meet again and try" we ended the night with a last kiss. The next day I headed to the airport to head back to Liverpool back to Anubis house. I just hope there are no more mysteries this school term. I will always be enchanted to have met Edison Miller.
