It's been...gods know how long since Tommy and Tubbo actually hung out together. Since they were with each other only for the sake of having each other's company. Even if Tommy reached out time and time again, being left on read and ignored, they were finally together. Tubbo had simply gotten tired of being annoyed by Tommy, but Tommy was blissfully ignorant to that knowledge. Tommy assumed Tubbo had finally gotten some free time and wanted to spend it with his best friend. They said they'd always be at each other's side. Tommy still believed that.

Upon Tubbo's arrival, he was cold and distant to Tommy, seeming to just want this interaction done and over with...he wasn't even pretending to like him and want to be there. Tommy forced himself not to be too bothered by Tubbo's words and exterior. Maybe he'd just had a bad day! It was probably no big deal. Surely, Tommy could make him feel better the way he always used to! He'd crack jokes and playfully shove Tubbo's arm or ruffle his hair, but he was only returned glares and irritated scoffs, even a growl or two, which eventually got Tommy to give up.

So now the two sat in Tommy's living room, a dead, ear piercing silence between them. The room was so tense you could cut the atmosphere with a butter knife. The air so delicate all you would need is a single push to make everything shatter. Neither of them dared to make the final blow and destroy the fine line keeping peace. A stalemate.

A morbidly stressful game of Russian roulette to see who'd break the silence first. They both knew who they thought would lose, Tubbo thinking Tommy, and Tommy thinking the same. He hated silence, and they were both more then aware of it. They knew each other inside and out, after all.

Tommy was jumpy, on the edge of his seat, because, well, he hated silence...especially silence with someone he used to be so loud with. He wished they could be loud like that again, deafening everyone around them with their screams and laughter...but now, all they could deafen was themselves with the nothing they had to discuss.

Despite the popular belief, the one to win the game...was them both. The gun existing without a bullet in the chamber. A third party's interference making the pain of the game end. Tubbos communicator went off with a special tone for a particular person, only Tubbo recognizing who it was.

Ranboo had sent him a message through his communicator, a very urgent one at that. He was in danger and needed Tubbo as soon as he could get to him. The message was honestly scary to read on its own, sending freezing cold shivers down Tubbos spine with every word. He needed to get out of there. He needed to get out of there now. Tubbo sat up, setting his communicator in his coat pocket and placing a worried glance to the door.

"Tommy I have to go, Ranboo needs help right now, sorry, but it's urgent."

"The hell do you mean? He can wait a bit, can't he?" Tommy looked up at him, looking more then upset hearing he had to leave. He couldn't help but let a small bit of desperation hold out through his voice while he spoke. Even if he didn't want it there, it very much was present. Even if it was awkward and painful for Tubbo to be there, he still had hope.

"No, Tommy, I'm sorry, but his situation is more important than sitting here and doing literally nothing." Tubbo sighed, standing up...Wow...there was no hesitance there...

Tommy stuttered, desperation falling through his body, "N-no, I'm...we could do something!! Just- come on Tubbo please? You've spent so much time with Ranboo lately, just spare some time for me?...please?"
