the most fakest smile was place on her face, leaving people to believe how in love they were. what an act they put out there, i'll say they were able to fool quite the town. holding on onto each other hands

mattia walked passed many people, natalia right by his side

he slowly let go of her hand as it moved to her waist, getting ahold of her waist brining her impossibly closer to him, a smirk on his lips when he heard her quietly gasp

"get it together, mi amore" mattia whispered to natalia only for her to hear. they got to the top of the stairs where they were now able to see every single person that showed up, mattia was now opening a new company and today it was revealed

natalia only stood right next to mattia, putting out there the perfect wife figure she made people believed she was

"thank you to all those for showing up, i appreciate it. it's an honor to finally revealed one of my latest projects. polibio's spire. this company will surely be as successful as my others" mattia said into the microphone. the crowd cheered, a single pair of long sharp scissors was bought out and handed to mattia

he smiled, he grabbed natalia's hand and together cutting the red ribbon that was in front of them and behind that big tall building of mattia new company. the red ribbon fell to the floor as the crowd cheered again

natalia narrowed her eyes at mattia before looking back at the crowd and yet again faking her smile

mattia turned to look at natalia, a smirk that alarmed her that he was not done with whatever he was starting just now

"and of course, i would have never been able to do all this without my wife right by my side, i truly love her" mattia said making everyone in the crowd 'awe'

her thoughts cut out once she felt his hands grabbed hers again, but this time he bought them up to his lips, he faced her, kissing her knuckles as he looked right into her eyes, he smiled against her knuckles before leaning into her ear

"they can see your shock reaction, mi amore" mattia smirked before turning back to the crowd "again thank you all" and with that he took her hands once again and walked inside the building

"that was painful to watch" a voice said from the corner of the building, turning their heads they saw kairi and alejandro chuckling

"i'll take it as mattia just wanted to make sure people believed you guy are actually deeply in love" alejandro said nodding his head, yet that isn't quite the attention mattia wanted to grab, it was actually something he was dying to do, but mattia being himself refused to believe that

it was a matter of time mattia got it together and actually realized there was nothing he can do but accept the feelings he has developed for the women his parents forced him to marry. as much as it sounded crazy that he can't accept it, trying to make himself believe that after the divorce he'll be happy

and even though we all know that's a lie, mattia doesn't. no, he didn't want to divorce her and surely didn't want to break her heart.

if the divorce ever so happens, he didn't want to be the only one with such a broken heart, he wanted her too feel it too. that's why he was doing what he was

"do you want to take a look around??" mattia asked natalia after the silent they were in.

"it's quite big here, i don't want to get lost" natalia said shaking her head, mattia narrowed his eyes taking a step closer towards natalia, mattia looked down at her and couldn't help but notice how nervous he made her feel

he immediately took his steps back

"you aren't scared of me, are you?" mattia asked natalia who couldn't even look at him, mattia lifted her chin making her look up at him "answer me, mi amore. do i make you nervous?" mattia said to natalia who was holding a load of breath in her.

"n-no" the stutter said it all for mattia

he pulled away and looked at her, such a shame that he couldn't even hold her as which she would flinch

it made the guy wonder if he had ever abused her. but he was sure he didn't do such a thing like that, never planned on hitting her.

"now probably isn't the time but mattia when do we officially open the buil-" kairi started but mattia threw him a glare before walking out of the building, natalia looked over at the boys

"did i say something wrong?" natalia asked them making them shake their heads

"he's a bit dramatic as you can tell" alejandro said making them laugh. mattia was difficult, no one knew what he wanted yet there was clearly only one thing he wanted

only a reason why he didn't want to admit it in which no one knew, it's only one way to find out though
