Natalia pov

i placed down my plate in the table before taking a sip off of my water, i took my seat looking around the empty table where i was eating alone. i started eating slowly, i pulled my hair up in a messy bun as it was in my way

i heard the door from upstairs slam shut so loud making the maid that was cooking turn around to look at me in concern

i gave her a small smile telling her not to worry

although i knew it was mattia, he was probably mad and right now, he was probably looking for his victim to take his anger out on. there was heavy footsteps approaching the kitchen and as soon as the footsteps stopped behind me, the maid turned around immediately going back to cooking

i didn't need to turn around to know mattia was standing right behind me, angry

i placed down my fork before my arm was harshly grabbed and turned me around, i met eyes with mattia's who was more then angry

his eyes traveled down from my eyes to my body until it stopped on my waist, he looked back at me narrowing his eyes but then he slowly lifted my shirt exposing the bruise and just like that his anger grew more

"what happened there" he asked letting go of my shirt, i looked up at him as he looked down at me, his eyes dark as ever almost scaring me

"nothing i-" i couldn't finish my sentence as he cut me off

"don't make me repeat myself" he almost yelled

"i fell" i said, although i was lying, there was no way i will tell him the truth, he'll just think i'm weak and couldn't defend myself but i also didn't care what he thought about me

"don't fucking lie to me" mattia said, and that's when i realized kairi probably told him already so there was no point in lying now

"i went to the bar and-" again he didn't let me finish

"you didn't bother to tell me?" he said. i narrowed my eyes, i looked at mattia for a second before breaking the eye contact and turning around

the maid looked uncomfortable yet scared

she tried to avoid mattia's yelling but she basically couldn't as he only looked angry as if he'll kill someone right in the second without having to even think about it

"mattia, let's not talk about this" i said my eyes going back to him

"still, a guys hand was on you." he said looking down at the table where the plate and my cup was "not that i care, but there's no way i'll have someone else's hands on you if your married to me" he said before storming out like he regretted his words

i sighed

the maid almost immediately ran to me and slowly grabbed my hand and scanned my arm where mattia hold me from

"are you ok?" she asked letting go of my arm

i nodded as she let out a sigh of relief, her eyes only showed that she was worry, she knew mattia almost her whole life since she and the others was his maid for ages, so they knew what he was capable of

when i first met her, she was confused yet glad i was living here

Mattia pov

i chuckled as i spotted the guy i was looking for, kairi and alejandro stood besides me as we looked forward at the glass windows giving us a whole view of the first floor of the club.

"bring him upstairs" i said to my guards who stood behind me

they nodded without questioning and went downstairs. after a few minutes my guards came back with the one single guy i was looking for, terrified, that's how he looked as he searched his surroundings before his eyes landed on us

his eyes widen

"polibio?" he said.

"it's been a while" i said nodding my head, he looked back at my guards that hold his arms as he frowned his eyes

"tell them to let me go" he spoke up making me laugh, he looked at me more then confused like he didn't understood why he was here in front of me

"xavier, you remember kairi, don't you??" i said nodding towards kairi who gave him a smile, xavier looked at kairi before he chuckled and nodded

"he's the same guy that threw me to the floor to help some women yesterday in the bar" xavier said, he looked like he wanted to kill kairi

"do you know why??" i said crossing my arms up to my chest as a smirk formed in my face, xavier shook his head as a response, i walked up to xavier, i looked over at my guards and nodded as they threw xavier to the floor, i kneeled down to be the same level as xavier "that women is my wife" i said.

i didn't think twice to punch him straight in the face, i grabbed him by his collar and threw another punch

"i didn't know s-sir" he almost struggled to say

"too late" i said before throwing him back in the floor and looking back at my guards "kill him" i said to them

they nodded

i grabbed my glass of whisky and drank it before throwing the glass at xavier who was still on the floor

"next time, be careful who you decide to lay your hands on."
