Your day in detail.
I woke up at 5:30AM but stayed in bed until about six. I went downstairs to my kitchen and put two chocolate chip waffles in the toaster. After the toaster did the ding/pop sound, I ate my waffles and brushed my teeth. Then, I went back in my room and put on my Panic! At the Disco shirt and a comfy pair of jeans. I ran a brush through my hair and pulled my hair into a ponytail. After feeding my fish, I went back downstairs and ate another waffle because I have to eat two breakfastses or I feel sick. Slipping on my galaxy converse, I walked to my bus stop and waited. the bus arrived, I got on, and listened to music for the 20 minute ride.
At 7:20, the first bell rings signaling the start of school. Each morning, we get a ten minute passing period (the rest are four minutes) to go to our lockers, put away instruments and get to class. My school isn't super big but my locker is on the opposite side of the building as my first two period classes. I grabbed my algebra and social studies stuff and walked with my friend to class.
Algebra is not to bad. A bell rings at 7:30 and then we say the pledge of allegiance because America is like a cult and then our principal starts his announcement routine. "I'm mr.sir and I am honored to be your principal" is how he starts every single day. His name isn't sir, but I didn't want to put his actual name. Next we watch video announcements and then we start class at about 7:40. Today we learned how to multiply binomial radicals or something along those lines. At about 8 ish, our teacher gives us our homework assignment and we get roughly 25 minutes to work before the end of class.
During this passing period, I had to literally run to my locker because I forgot my social studies textbook. We talked about the trail of tears and how Andrew Jackson and Martin van buren forces native Americans off their land.
Orchestra is my third period class it starts at 9:19. We got new sheet music today. it's the music for Radiactive by imagine dragons. We get another new piece tomorrow. Just a forewarning, my conductor is a little...intense? He's a nice guy overall but sometimes he gets a bit crazy. The violas have a fairly easy part at the beginning of the song. At measure 17 however, my stand partner can't count to three. He skipped basically every rest that there was, causing me to mis count. This resulted in "violas this is easy!" And "*sigh* do it again for violas" or " alright violas lets do it again." and other such things. the violins were threatened with a playing quiz due to some troublesome eighth notes in rapid succession. Remember, we got that piece today. Anyway, 10:06 rolled around and the bell rang.
Language arts is my fourth period class. We reviewed irony and watches a couple hilarious videos explaining the different types. We continued reading our short story from yesterday. very uneventful.
Health is fifth period. We had a sub who literally gave zero shits as to what we did. Our regular teacher had the sub put on a show called Brain Games. I finished biology homework in that class.
Lunch!!!!! I had nachos with cheese, meat, lettuce, tomato and sour creame. I sit with my friend Kenzie and this girl that I don't really like very much. We talked about a fight that happened in band class and about plans for our rapidly approaching break.
Study hall. I actually finished my biology assignment in this class. I worked on that most of the time as I talked to my friend, Shelbie. I also briefly talked to my crush.
Sixth period is industrial tech. The teacher has been teaching this for 29 years. he's old. For our next project, we're working with a designing program called Inventor. it's really complicated so he's teaching us the basics of how to use it. I sit next to Kenzie and often have to fix her mistakes.
Finally, at 2:40 is biology. The science kids like to think their farther ahead than we are but they barely scratch the surface of what we do. You know those punnet squares to figure out genotypes? Four little boxes making a square with a letter above the top two boxes and a letter on the left side of the left boxes? We do those but with sixteen boxes and have to do a bunch of complicated stuff to get the letters. Today, we turned in our project and were told to start our study guides for our test on Friday. Shelbie and I worked together. I listened to music during the class and at 2:30 the bell rang.
I went to my locker and got my backpack. I grabbed my instrument from the orchestra room and went to the bus for the 40 minute ride home. Luckily, I always listen to music so it's not so bad.
I got home, had a snack and then had to clean out our cats' three litter boxes. Afterwards, I took a nap. My little sister woke me up for dinner. It was pork chops, peas and stuffing. After eating, I finished the book I was reading and now after a long day, I'm going to sleep.Love you homeskillets!
