Someone who inspires you
Someone who inspires me? Gosh there are so many people that I look up to. Obviously there's my parents but I think this one goes to my grandmas and grandpas. On my dads side of the family, my grandparents raised my dad and his two brothers, me and my siblings, both my uncles' kids, my cousin's kids and managed their own lives. They've always let me play how I wanted to (aka pouring old spices into a bird bath and playing in mud, etc.) regardless of what my mom said. I lost so many pacifiers and socks at their house and got hurt a good few times. Through all of it, they were always there for me and my siblings and my parents. My grandpa picked me up after kindergarten everyday and would always buy my favorite foods (ramen noodles and long john silvers). My grandma taught me how to sew and how to cook some things. She would get me toys from yard sales and let me sleep on three very "special" couch cushions. Basically it was these three cushions from some old leather couch that I loved.
On my moms side, my grandma let me play in the woods and mess with things outside. She would tell me stories about foreign places and things and how things worked. She would teach me how to do random things like know what rocks are what and how to assemble cell phones( she had me make sandwiches and pretend the parts were parts of a phone) She held a party every New Years and always made me smile. She listens to my thoughts on politics and "adult stuff" and is nice about it. My grandpa takes me fishing and likes to take me and my siblings/ cousins to lunch and Dairy Queen. My moms mom was basically a single parent raising two kids on a low income but she made sure they turned out great. Both are pretty successful and have their own families. My grandparents just keep going no matter how hopeless things seem.
Love you homeskillets!!!!!
