Patreece Hezekiah De Rosier's POV :

Percy, Lauraine, and I had already finished our dinner and there is still no sign of a coming Ross! Where is he?

Me and Ross had some misunderstanding with regards to our behaviors towards each other, I don't know how it started but he seems so angry at me up to the point that if we're having some family events and when he knows that I am in there, he would not attend.

Ross is my younger brother even though we have the same age. And I tend to always understand his behavior and be worried at him... Just like now. He'd been out in the forest for long now. We finished our dinner yet he haven't arrive yet. I am worried because he might be starving while getting lost - oh my What if he got lost?

I quickly stood up getting the attention of my two siblings. "I just have to go follow Ross" I explained while looking down at Percy and Lauraine. Percy nodded. "Take care, brother" I smiled at Lauraine.

I started to walk inhaling and exhaling huge amounts of air while making my way to the entrance of the dark and colossal forest. I've never been here before and so I'm pretty scared but it can not compare to my will of finding my younger brother.

I started on walking, looking at my back all the time to make sure that I am able to remember my path from the outside.

While walking, I decided to look up and there it is-- with a flabbergast look on my face, I saw the moon. A bright full moon that serves as my small light in the darkness and fearfulness of the forest that had lead my lips to curve into a small smile thinking that despite the absence of light that there is in that particular situation, there is still this small dim light that will help you go through it all.

I looked around me as I heard some animal voices; owl howling, cricket screaming, and dog barking.

I continued walking while remembering my parent's conversation with the Victorines.

"We decided that the wedding will take place earlier than what we originally planned" My Mom started while looking at me as I am just looking somewhere, avoiding their pressure-full looks but in the corner of my eyes I could see my dad nodding. I sighed.

"Tell us about it" Eleanor Victorine stated while looking at her husband Milton Victorine before putting their gaze to Leona who is just eating silently.

We're on the picnic ground while my other siblings went their way to the mango farm to watch how our workers do their job on harvesting it.

"We're planning that instead of having it next year why not this year? At exactly a month now, by the time Patreece turns 22, the wedding should take place also" My mom continued. Confused look was plastered all around the Victorines, Leona had her head up high upon hearing that future-lining statement. I looked at mom with a disbelief expression while having my lower lip hang low.

"What do you mean? " Mr. Milton asked. "As I was saying, our town had some hard time managing to get into the modern type of living the way your town is right now, and every single day that is passing by without starting up to build a modern culture in here, means the slow downfall of our ancestral wealth. And I'm pretty sure that it is the opposite in your case as your town is one of the most civilized one, but I am pretty certain also that there is a need of more food production as I can hear people from your town begging not only for foods but also for the necessities that can not be obtained by building establishments. So, in conclusion, we both need this marriage, our both town need this marriage to take place in a short period of time so that both of our 'ancestral wealth' can not be brought to an end " I was shocked while looking at my mom who is now raising her right eyebrow to the Victorines.
