Chapter 6:The Party

Next morning Lisa woke up early and went for a bath. After changing her clothes she went downstairs after being summoned for breakfast. On reaching the dining room she was surprised to see Jungkook there, already sitting and reading the newspaper. She just sat there in her seat waiting for the breakfast to be served. There was total silence in the room throughout the meal. Lisa was kinda relieved because she didn't really wanted to talk about anything with the man sitting adjacent to her. When she was done, she got up to go to her room when suddenly jungkook said, " I have sent the dress you will wear with the maid. After some time maids will come to your room to dress you. I will meet you here at sharp 12 o'clock." After saying this he went back to reading the newspaper.

Lisa didn't respond and went upstairs. She sat on her bed, reading a book. 

After some time the maids came to her room to dress her up. The dress she was given neither very fancy nor very plain. It was just perfect. 

It was a pretty floral dress that gave vibe of innocence and youth. After dressing her up the maids went down and Lisa was alone in her room, looking at herself in the mirror.

LISA'S POV:

I am really dong this huh? Looking myself in the mirror I felt like I am looking at a stranger. I looked the same but my aura was of someone else. I never really liked floral dresses. I always thought it made me look much younger for my liking. But here I am now wearing this to a party of unknown people. As I was in thought a knock was heard. It was Mr. Vernon. He told me to come downstairs as Mr. Jeon was already there and waiting. I hurriedly went downstairs. He looked irritated. Seeing me he just turned around and started walking towards the carriage. I was wearing heels and a dress, so I was not able to walk fast but still I reached the carriage quickly and sat inside. Mr. Jeon was inside with me and the carriage was dead silent. It was an uncomfortable silence. Then Mr. Jeon spoke, " I hope you remember what you have to do. Don't forget your work. The princess is a bit bratty and spoiled, but still you have to make a good impression on her. I will make opportunity for you to talk to her. Rest will be up to you."

I just nodded and turned my head towards the window. We reached the destination after some time. Many people could be seen at the venue. I just followed Mr. Jeon till he abruptly stopped. Someone had stopped him to chat a bit. The man said, " Hello Lord Jeon, long time no see. I hope you are well."

To this Mr. Jeon replied, " I am very well as you can see Sir Jimmy. It indeed has been a long time. I wanted to introduce someone to the princess. Do you perhaps know where she is?"

The man named Jimmy said, " Oh and who might this be." Hearing this I was suddenly alert. I looked towards Jimmy and bowed. Mr. Jeon then introduced me as he had told me before. Suddenly I felt eyes on me. On looking up I saw Sir Jimmy staring strangely. Then noticing I saw him staring at me, he became flustered and turned towards Mr. Jeon and said, "The Princess must be with aunt near the garden. You can go check there."  After saying this he shook hands with Mr. Jeon and left.

Once again Mr. Jeon started walking and I was following him. I can sense eyes of people on me. Then we arrived at the garden where two figures of women can be seen. One of them was young and looked my age. She must be the princess. And the one near her must be her mom, Princess Hilda, sister of current queen. We approached them and Mr. Jeon bowed and greeted them both. I also bowed and greeted them. Princess' mom was just staring at me. It is very awkward and I don't know what to do. I turned towards Mr. Jeon, who getting the message spoke, " Greetings your highness. It has been a long time since we have met." Hearing him she turned towards Mr. Jeon and said, " Yes indeed it has been long Sir Jeon. Today you also have a companion. Who is she?" On this Mr. Jeon replied, " Your highness this is Lisa Burschweiler, the daughter of one of my old friends, Mr. Burschweiler. You must have heard about his disappearance. So I have taken her under my protection for some time. Is there a problem your highness?"

What is with this question. It feels like he is deliberately asking this question after knowing something. 

Princess Hilda  said, " No there is no problem. Its just that she looks a lot like someone I know." Suddenly the princess spoke, " You are right mother. She looks a lot like young Aunt Lizzy. There is a portrait of her in the hallway and she seems identical to that."

Hearing this I was shocked. How can I be identical looking to one of the royals. Did Mr. Jeon know that? That's why he brought me here. What is his purpose in all this? Then Princess Hilda said," Rose don't speak nonsense." She looked towards Mr. Jeon, observing his expression and then turned to me, " Sweetie I heard about your father. It sure is sad to hear about his disappearance. I hope he comes back soon. Why don't you join us for a tea." 

"I will be honored your highness." I replied. Then I sat down with them both for a cup of tea. Mr. Jeon left saying that he had to greet some people and I was alone with the Princess and her daughter. But it was not very uncomfortable. They both are very lively people. I talked a lot with them and got comfortable. Then Princess Rose suggested to take me with her to introduce to some of her friends. I agreed and was about to get up but suddenly I felt a hand on my head. Princess Hilda while patting my head said," Take care dear. It was nice meeting you. I hope we can meet again." I just smiled, bowed my head and left the place with Princess Rose. She introduced me to her friends. It was difficult for me to get along with them as they were very overly friendly. Suddenly one of them said to me," Miss Lisa you live with Sir Jeon. You are very lucky as he is very handsome and successful. He is a sought out Bachelor of the city. It is a pity though, he only has eyes for Princess Rose and has been chasing her since a long time. Well no one can blame him, Princess Rose is indeed very beautiful and elegant."

Mr. Jeon likes Princess Rose? Well I didn't expect that, I thought he is only a cold reptile void of any romantic feeling. So I was wrong. I don't know why, I feel a bit sad hearing that. I was brought back to present when Princess Rose said to me, " Lisa, lets go near the pond. It is very beautiful there." I agreed and went with her. We were on a bridge across the pond. Princess was leaning against the edge, I thought it is dangerous and was going to warn when suddenly she came beside me and said near my ear, " I don't really like people like you who act to be righteous but are hypocrites. People like you don't deserve to be here with me." I was shocked hearing this. Suddenly I felt a push and landed in the pond.
