Chapter 1: the start

Starting the journey. Of Sammy

The city a glimmering shine

The octo people buying things

The blood of enemy's

The darkness of down there

These where happening all within different places, different homes.

Sammy sat at their window, looking at the mer folk, some more had left to go to war with the others.

Years had passed since the war started, Sammy was now 17, yeah, this war was going on for this long, Sammy was at most 5 or 6 yeah it started, people asked, why not get a new crystal or replace it?

It was a special crystal, it was from our ancestors from long ago for as a symbol of peace.

Sammy's sister esmarelda came to the door way, " brother are you thinking again?", " yes little sister, I think it's time to start my journey", " mother and father won't like it you know", esmarelda was 2 years younger then him, she had red hair as the older had brown that shifted to a red in the light," yes I know, mother especially." Their mother had got stabbed in the tail when Sammy was younger, and never wanted them to go far.

At dinner time, they where having salmon and kelp for dinner, Sammy picked at his food, the mother saw," Sammy whats wrong? Not dead enough?", " huh? No, just thinking" he ate a bit of salmon," so, mom, dad I've been thing", " thinking huh?" She raised a brow, esmarelda went under the table for this sh*t show," I e just been thinking, maybe it's time I, well you know, go out and... find the crystal.." he mumbled," what?" His mother said, with more anger then expected," f-find the crystal?", " absolutely not! I'm not gonna let you go out there and get your head chopped off!" She said," mom we have went with the war for too long!

The mother looked at the father" I was too hard on him, maybe, I should say something", " I think he just needs time to think this over, he has been wanting to leave for the crystal, you are just looking out for him" the father said.

Sammy huffed, he was still angry, what did she know?! She's gotten stabbed in the tail! And what was she doing?! Running away! If he where to be stabbed he wanted it to be for getting the crystal! To say, hey! He tried unlike everyone else who just sat by and watched this happen!........ he got an idea, and grabbed his bag and started to fill it with things and supplies, he swam over and looked out into the hall, no one, he swam down to the kitchen and grabbed some kelp and other fish, he jolted as he saw his sister," what are you doing?" Esmarelda asked," ah me?! Ptf- nothing" Sammy said, she raised a brow," your leaving aren't you?", " .... yes", " alright then", " huh?", she floated to the cabinets," look we all want this war to end, and I have heard nothing about getting the crystal back, who even knows if it will work? But it's a shot, plus all the shark people have the good meat", " hm" he made a face" hey don't tell mom or dad", " they'll find out", " I know, just don't tell them where I'm going", " alright, deal, but they might figure you out Sammy", " I know, but I be quick!", " good, and when you come back- bring back shrimps that the octo people have, and some whale from the colossal's", " what's with you and food?", " they have the good stuff! I'm getting tiered of our food", " understandable, well I'll try and be back", " see ya bro". He swam up to his room and got his stuff, food and supplies, this should do it, he hoped.

He opened his window and floated down slowly, past his parents room, he swam slowly to not make much sound, getting a few tails away before swimming faster, and off Sammy went on his adventure.

End of chapter one, so the character Sammy may change through the book since I don't exactly have an idea for what he looks like yet, but I think he should have a scar, that the mom told him that was a birth mark, but where?
