Already on my 20th one-shot. Cool.

Tyler POV

I thought turning twenty-five years old would be the most surreal day of my life. I really did.

Turns out that turning a year older than that is even more mind blowing.

The funny thing is, my day started off normal enough - I woke up to my alarm at eight in the morning, at that time not even remembering that it was, in fact, my birthday - and grabbed the phone in irritation to stop the obnoxious ringing that sounded throughout my bedroom.

I rubbed the tiredness from my eyes, reaching a hand out to my bedside table in search of my glasses. It didn't take long to find them. I grasped them in my fingers, unfolded them, and pressed them onto my face as I clicked my phone on, only to see that I've already been bombarded by messages.

Bewildered, I squinted as I let my eyes readjust with the glasses on, and went to look through them all, only to be stopped short by the date: March 22.

Today was my birthday. I totally forgot.

So I ended up spending the next few minutes going through all of my text messages from friends and family ( 69! ), four of which were from my mom, seven of which were from Zoë, and nineteen of which were from Korey - all caps, of course.

From Korey: OMG BABE IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY

From Korey: HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU FUCKING BITCH

From Korey: TYLER OAKLEY

From Korey: HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE OLD NOW?

From Korey: YOU'RE 26 ALREADY FOR GOD'S SAKES

From Korey: WILL YOU EVEN BE ABLE TO REMEMBER THAT SINCE YOU'RE SO OLD NOW?

Those were only a few of them. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at them all, bemused by how easily I could hear Korey's voice as I went through the messages. We just always acted like such idiots around each other.

Just a mere glance at Twitter showed me that I was already showered with birthday wishes, having already received thousands from friends and fans alike. Some were funny, some were cute, some were, well, encouraging me to take part in some pretty risqué activities tonight. It was wishful thinking of those ones, but I knew I wouldn't be acting out there requests today. I just haven't been as interested in that lately.

Still, I couldn't help but retweet a variety of fans' B-Day tweets. They were all sweet in their own way, and even the strangest and most typo ridden ones caused a small smile to appear on my face.

Sometime after being on Twitter for a while, I went into the bathroom to shower and get dressed. I ended up just wearing a floral patterned button up, since it just officially became spring two days ago, with some khaki colored pants. I threw an old gray Mickey Mouse sweatshirt over it, since the weather outside looked bleak and chilly, despite the supposedly new season. My blonde hair glinted from the harsh fluorescent light of the bathroom, appearing to be near the same shade of color as my skin tone. The jet black ray bans I've grown accustomed to wearing contrasting against my pale skin, and drew my line of sight immediately to my eyes.

After leaving the bathroom, I planned on going to the kitchen - hoping to comb around for something to eat, even though I having some any fulfilling grocery shopping in ages - when my phone dinged with a notification for a text. Figuring it was another well-wisher, I went back into my bedroom and tapped the banner that appeared on the lock screen without even bothering to check who it was, only to see that it was from Troye.
