Ray felt heartbroken as he helplessly and hopelessly watch Lucy and Leo walked out of the room. He was utterly and completely heartbroken but he didn't let it show. He didn't want neither Leo nor Lucy to see how pathetic he is.
He held onto his emotions pretty well until he heard the sound of the door closing. As the sound registered in his ear, he couldn't hold back the tears he was holding in anymore. He broke into tears while thinking about how he gave his all this time.
Leo just silently follow his mom while his head keeps on thinking about the things he just said in front of Ray. He didn't mean any of it but of course, Ray doesn't know it. He thought it would be best to do it to avoid his own mother's wrath.
As they left the room, he felt his heart got broken into pieces and his own feelings along with it. He wanted to take back everything he said but he wouldn't. He wouldn't for the sake of Ray.
The door to the elevator opened and they silently got in. The ride down to the first floor was silent but the silence itself was suffocating. Neither Leo nor his mother uttered a single word.
As the elevator stopped, Leo wanted to go back and tell Ray that he didn't mean any of what he said but the look on his mother's eyes as she looks back at Leo washed away the idea.
Lucy knew that his son is bi. Being Leo's mother, she also knew that Leo was lying when he said whatever he said just a few minutes ago. She knew her own son very much that she know that what Leo feels for Ray, her own brother, was real.
Lucy just couldn't wrap the idea of her son falling in love with her own brother in her head – her adopted brother to be exact. No one in the family except for her knew that certain truth. She kept it hidden for years and she decided that she will do it for more.
She has considered Ray as her true brother. She might be breaking his own son and own brother's heart but she thought that it was actually for the best. They'll eventually move on.
Lucy have no idea that her brother, Ray, swings that way. The reason behind is because she always saw Ray with his longtime girlfriend. 'That must be the reason why they recently broke up.' Lucy thought to herself.
What Lucy didn't know is that Ray and his girlfriend broke up because they just both can't do long distance relationship. They were mature enough to accept that fact and successfully establish within themselves that they can't do it.
Ray was left in that room with his heart broken into unimaginably tiny little pieces. He wasn't even sure if he will be able to put them all back together.
He's being swarmed with different emotions all at once. He felt regretful for giving his all while thinking that Leo just played with him. He felt ashamed for being caught by his own sister. He felt happy though for everything that had happened in Seattle. He was even happy for being able to express his feelings truthfully.
It was just a shame that he played the fighter role for someone who was just doing the player role. He decided to put an end to it even if it hurts as he grabbed his phone from the bedside table and deleted the pictures he took with Leo. He wanted to erase that part hoping that his feelings would go with them.
He finally relaxed after shedding some more tears and laid himself on the bed lazily. The smell of sex engulfed his senses and he felt his member getting hard just reminiscing what had just happened before Lucy walked in on them. He was telling the truth when he said that it was way better than any of the sex that he had before.
On the other hand, Lucy and Leo checked in at a nearby hotel after learning that there was no more flight back home left today. Leo was hopeful that they'd go back to Graduate Seattle but his mother, Lucy, is one step ahead of her own son.
"I know that you were lying back there." Leo was surprised hearing those words and was even more surprised at his mother's calm demeanor. "You're my son, alright. I know you more than you think I do."
Leo could no longer hold back the tears he was trying hard to hide as he hugged his mom and just let it all out. "I'm sorry." Leo managed to say when he calmed down a little bit. "I'm sorry for not being able to control myself more."
Lucy rubbed her hand soothingly at the back of her son. Lucy almost told Leo the truth after seeing her son so heartbroken but she stood on her ground firmly. 'If they are really meant for each other, it will surely happen.' She thought as she try to calm her own son.
"There are times that we lose control over our own self. It's normal." Lucy thought that saying it will make her son feel better.
Surprisingly, Leo felt better after hearing his mother's words. Eventually, he fell asleep in the comfort of his mother's warm embrace.
Lucy thought of calling Ray to check up on him but she couldn't get herself to do it. Somehow, she felt a little guilt in her heart.
Her phone in her bag dinged and she knew that she received a message. She was hopeful that it was from Ray as she slowly took it from her bag, careful not to wake her son up.
A smile found its way to her lips when she saw Ray's name flashed on the screen. She felt as though the heaven is on her side this time.
'Thank you for everything Lucy. I love you, always.'
That was the content of Ray's message to Lucy and she don't know why she suddenly felt weird as her smile dropped. She realized that this isn't very "Ray thing" to do.
She clicked on Ray's name dialing his number faster than the lightning and she felt her heart ache then sink when the number is no longer available. She tried again while at the same time trying to calm herself but she got the same response – the number she's trying to call is no longer available.
Tears started to roll down from her eyes as she realized that Ray cut her off. Suddenly, she thought of something. She grabbed Leo's phone slowly which is peeking out from his pocket. Leo stir up a little but didn't wake up.
Lucy was surprised and relieved to learn that her son don't use passcode on his phone. She sighed. She scrolled through the contacts list until he found Ray's. She didn't mind the heart emoji that much along with the name with her urge to call her brother.
As she clicked on the call button, she was hopeful. All the hopes she was holding onto crashed into pieces as she got the same response – the number is no longer available. This time, she just silently cried while trying hard not to wake his son up.
Decided, Ray packed his clothes then moved to one of the rooms on the 30th floor. He thought moving into different room and floor would do him good because the current one just screams Leo and everything that they have done.
He even went as far as bribing the receptionist not to tell anyone, strictly anyone at any cost, his whereabouts. "You can say I no longer stay here or it is against the hotel's rule, whatever you think is better." He instructed the receptionist.
He even changed his number and threw the previous one away but not after texting his sister Lucy thanking her for everything. He deactivated all of his social media accounts with the thought of completely going off under anyone's radar.
Ray is off to starting anew. Lucy is firm in holding her ground. Leo, well, he's trying but anyone could tell that he's having trouble moving on, despite the fact that he was the one that cut everything off.THE END.
