Chapter II: New Skills, Upgrade and First Kill

I concentrated on the skill points and a list of skills popped up.

[You can use skill points to purchase skills. List of skills available to be bought;

Stealth: Improves your ability to remain unseen while moving or being still. 1SP

Venomous Fang: Grows venom glands and fangs. 1SP

Dash: Increases speed over short distance 1SP

Body Slam: Slam your body into your opponent in order to stun or injure them. 1SP

Burrowing: Drill down into soft earth in order to create a home or travel or tunnels.]

These five skills are those that I could learn right now. The skills I choose now could determine how fast I level up and who knows maybe an evolution will give me a more humanoid form.

Alright from what I know snakes are ambush predators, they watch and study their prey and wait until the perfect moment to strike that means [Stealth] is definitely gonna be there. I think [Body Slam] and [Dash] can be learnt without using skill points so that means I'll get [Venomous Fang], [Burrowing] and [Stealth].

Alright gimme those three skills mysterious voice-sama.

>Venom Gland +1: Improve potency of venom and amount capable of being produced and stored.

Damn so many choices but I think I know what I want. Select; >Fangs, >Skin, >Eyes and >Venom Gland.

Huh? That easy? I thought it would be har-Gah!! What the hell is this!? It feels like someone put a hot iron to my body!

Fortunately after two minutes it stops. So this is [Self Modification huh]? Not gonna it's pretty cool. I can tell that my vision definitely got better at first it was like wearing glasses when your not supposed to but now it's not blurry anymore. My scales are better too at first they were like cloth but now they're like cardboard. I can't tell if my fangs and venom glands have improved yet until I fight.

I need more of those points, and to do that I need to hunt prey and eat them. But first I need a home base. Using the [Burrowing] skill I dug a hole under the tree and began to carve out the dirt underneath, soon I had a nice sized space underneath and the hole to enter was covered by the shade of the tree. At the end of the the [Burrowing] skill levelled up.

Ah so continued use of skills will cause them to level up huh. Alright time to go forth and hut prey. Slithering out of my hidey hole I began to follow the glowing silver lines. Soon I came upon a slightly narrow passage., on the ground were foot tracks that looked like some sort of rodent.

I was cut off by the sound of multiple feet skittering on the ground. I quickly went to the side and burrowed into the ground. Poking my head out I saw something strange running towards me were a herd of rats, each of them were as big as an adult British Short Hair cat. They were all covered in dark brown fur. Soon they all passed me by. I was about to continue searching however a gut feeling told me to stay, about ten minutes passed and soon a familiar scuttle was heard,
