America had been pacing around his cell for a while now, starting to get worried. All while New Zealand was sitting against the wall, starring up at the ceiling. "..How the hell are you so calm!? He's been gone for too long now and I'm starting to think something bads happened!" Said America. "... I could probably fit through that" Zealand Said, pointing at the ceiling. Up on the ceiling, there was a small air vent that looked like only a person who's barely above 4'10 could fit. "...What!?" Said America. "If I wanted to escape, I could just go through there" Said NZ. "Okay cool but can you listen!? We don't know if Australia's dead or alive or anything!" Said America. Zealand didn't reply, he just kept starring up at the vent. He could probably fly up there to undo the screws, the problem would just be fitting his wings in as well. "Hey!...EARTH TO NEW ZEALAND!" America said. "Shut up! I'm thinking! Unlike you" Said New Zealand. "About what!?" Said America. "If this cell has a vent, and yours has one too, then chances are wherever they're keeping Australia has one" Said NZ. "So?" America replied. "So they'd all be connected! If I can fit in the vent, I'll be able to find him!" Said kiwi. "...that's...actually a good idea" America said, crossing his arms.
New Zealand got up from the floor, launched himself up to the vent and hung onto it as he undid the screws holding the vent in place. The vent soon swung open, allowing kiwi to climb up into it. The poor guy had to squeeze his wings against his shoulders to fit through until the metal tunnels got wide enough for him to crawl normally. He was going over other vents that looked down into break rooms, storage rooms, and one room that looked like a surgery, except the table had straps on it. And the weirdest part was that the straps were broken. Zealand of course skipped over it, dismissing the weird sight. "Come on you big idiot- where the hell are you" Kiwi Said, continuing through the vents.
Australia had started going through even more pain, his back had hunched over and he could barely swallow with how much his throat hurt. He had curled into a ball again, except this time it was more of him trying to find a position where the pain wasn't as bad. He was tensed up with his knees all the way up to his chin. Keeping tensed up like that was exhausting so he was half asleep by now, although any time he relaxed he only tensed back up again, so he was just trapped in a cycle. Zealand had crawled to the vent leading into the cell Aus was in, looking down, he almost froze. The Maori started banging on the vent, trying to get his brothers attention and hoping he wasn't dead.
"AUS! AUSTRALIA WAKE UP!" He yelled. Australia flinched at the banging, looking up at the vent. He almost had bags under his eyes from how tired he was. "Z...Zea..why are you in the ceiling?" He said. "I came looking for you! What the fuck did they do to you!?" Said New Zealand. "The injection...they aren't trying to make us human again-...they're trying to make us more animal" Said Australia. "WHAT?!" Kiwi yelled. "Tell America, you're the next youngest, you'll be next" Australia said, flopping back down to the floor. Kiwi was about to say something but had decided not to, and just turned back around to head to his own cell to alert his older brother
