The next day, Scott gets his van inside and suits up. "Okay, here we go. Time travel test number one. Scott, fire up the uhhh... the van thing." Bruce points, behind a control panel.

"Breakers are set, emergency generators are on standby." I say, standing beside Bruce.

"Good. 'Cause if we blow the grid, I don't wanna lose Tiny here in the 1950's." The four of us give Bruce a panicked look.

"Excuse me?" Scott asks.

"He's kidding." Nat says to Scott, she turns to Bruce and hushes her tone. "You can't say things like that!"

"Just... It was a bad joke."

"You were kidding, right?" I whisper.

"I have no idea. We're talking about time travel here. Either it's all a joke, or none of it is." He turns to Scott and puts his thumbs up. "We're good! Get your helmet on, Scott. I'm gonna send you back a week, let you walk around for an hour, then bring you back in 10 seconds. Makes sense?"

"Perfectly not confusing" Scott nods.

"Good luck, Scott. You got this." Steve nods.

"You're right. I do, Captain America."

Bruce presses a button, and Scott disappears into the Quantum Tunnel. "On the count of three. 3... 2... 1!" Bruce presses a button, and someone in the Ant-Man suit comes back. A teenager in appears out of it.

"Uh, guys? This...this doesn't feel right."

"What is this?" Steve asks.

"What's going on?" Bruce frowns.

"That...who is that?" I point.

Bruce pushes couple more buttons, trying to fix the problem. "Hold on."

"Is that Scott?" Nat asks.

"Yes, it's Scott!" The teen shouts.

Teen Scott gets sucked in back into the quantum tunnel, and it appears to be an old man in the Ant-Man suit. "Ow! My back!"

"What is this?" Steve asks.

"Can I get a little space here."

We all step back, "Yeah yeah. Can you bring him back?"

"I'm working on it!" He taps the side of the button pad, trying to pull back Scott.

After a moment, another person appears in front of us.This time, it's a baby in the Ant-Man suit.

"It's a baby." Steve tilts his head.

"It's Scott."

"As a baby!" I yell, panicking.

"He'll grow."

"Bring Scott back!" Steve nods.

Brice points at Nat, "When I say kill the power, kill the power."

"Oh my god." Nat runs over to the generator.

"And... Kill it!" Bruce yells.

Nat pulls down a lever, and everything shuts down. Scott, the normal Scott, gets spewed back out again. "Somebody peed my pants."

"Oh thank god." I sigh in relief.

"But I don't know if it was 'baby' me or 'old' me...Or just 'me' me."

Bruce holds up his his hands in a dramatic way. "Time travel!"
Steve says nothing. He simply shakes his head and walks away
"What? I..I see this as an absolute win!"

I suddenly grab my mouth, turning and running out and into the nearest bathroom. I drop down to my knees and start to puke. Nat rushes into the bathroom and wets a washcloth, she comes up behind me and wipes my mouth for me, rubbing my back as I finish.

"Sorry....happens when I'm stressed." I shake my head.

"I don't remember that happening to you." She sits down and pulls me in her arms.

"I'm okay." I nod.

We both walk back out to see Tony, he smiles and hugs me. "Decided to help...found out I can build a model that actually works."

"Thank you, Tony." I smile.

"That means....we need Clint." Tony looks at Nat and I with a frown. "He'll only listen to you two."

Nat and I took a jet to Tokyo, his last location.

We get out and walk into the rain with our umbrellas, stopping as we watch Clint kill a man. "You shouldn't be here." He takes off his mask.

"Neither should you." I say.

"I've got a job to do."

"Is that what you're calling this? Killing all these people isn't gonna bring your family back." Nat says.

Clint starts to look emotional, on the verge of crying. "We found something. A chance, maybe..." Nat whispers.

"Don't..." He starts crying.

"Don't what?" Nat asks.

"Don't give me hope."

We both reach out and grab his hands, "We're sorry We couldn't give it to you sooner." I start to cry as I pull him in for a hug.

Clint cries into my shoulder as he pulls Nat into our hug.

He grips onto us, just sobbing in the rain. I wished I could take his pain away....I just hope this would all work.

For his sake.
