I leaned against Winter...Bucky...James ugh I don't even know anymore. I'm so confused. He kept calling me Y/n. Told me he is my brother. I stopped and turned to look in the direction we just came from. From where we left him.

"Dove? Are you okay?" I held my injured arm and slowly shook my head.

"Bunny. We have names. He gave us a name. Told us we had a life before Hydra. You have a friend. I...I have a family." He walked over and stood in front of me. He took my arm in his hand and held my shoulder in another. I knew what he was about to do. I screamed when he set my shoulder back into place. He pulled me into his arms.

"I'm sorry...I'm confused. He called me Bucky. Said I was his friend. I don't remember him but something deep down tells me that he's right."

"He is." A voice said behind us. We whirled and took a defensive stance. The man we threw off and broke the wings of stood behind us. He raised his hands to show that he meant no harm. We didn't ease up.

"Easy guys. I'm here on behalf of Steve. He told me to find you. Said y'all shouldn't be too far from here." He took a step forward and we took a step back. He froze and kept his hands raised. "He said he has a place for you to stay while you recover."

I gave a glance at Bucky. He took a quick glance at me and looked back at the man. The man sighed.

"Look I know you are confused. Very confused. Hell probably terrified. You just went from probably years of fighting to find out you have friends and family where once there was none." He lowered his hands slowly and when we didn't react he took a step forward. When we did react to that he froze again.

"But Steve really wants to help you. And personally, I think he'll help you a lot." Slowly I relaxed and I felt Bucky relax next to me. "So does that mean y'all are gonna come?"

I looked over at Bucky and he looked at me. I could see the emotions stirring in his eyes. I knew he felt as tormented as I felt.

"Jeez, do you guys even speak-"

"Give us a couple of days." I interrupted. "We...need to process." The man nodded and smiled. He started to walk away.

"Doors always open. Oh and I recommend going to the museum. It might help a bit. Here." He reached into his pocket and pulled something out. He walked towards us holding out his hand. Bucky and I both quickly pulled out a knife and held it out. He paused and raised his hands again.

"Jesus how many knives y'all got. It's alright. It's just cash. Y'all are gonna need it for clothes. I'd offer but I don't think I'm your size." He looked at Bucky and held out the money. Slowly he reached out and grabbed it, keeping eye contact the entire time. The man waited patiently. Once he did the man backed up.

"The names Sam by the way. See ya soon." Sam walked off and disappeared into the trees. Bucky and I looked at each other and down at the money in his hand. By the looks of it, there was a decent amount.

"Clothes....then museum?" I asked Bucky. He nodded.

"There's something we need to do first." Oh...yeah. We walked back to the Hydra base and snuck inside. We found clothes that fit us and snuck back out. Killing all the ones who experimented on us.

We walked through New York to the Smithsonian Museum. Inside we found a whole section dedicated to Captain America. We walked through, keeping our heads down until we reached a section that was dedicated to a group of soldiers called the Howling Commandos.

I stared at the suits and wondered why they looked familiar. I saw faces on the wall and I noticed that Bucky was up there. Only he looked younger and had short hair. And I saw myself up there too. But I was younger and had longer hair. And I was smiling.
