CHAPTER 4

For the first time in my life I was stunned with a maid's attitude, a younger woman than me calls my name in front of all my harem. At first I was thinking of how to punish her for disrespecting me like that but I was interested in her boldness.

When I turned to find out who's this young lady, she was the only one looking me in the eyes. No one in here does that unless they're the closet to me and there are only two, my mother and Rana.

I can tell she was nervous and she was rethinking her reckless act. I stood in front of her with my hands behind my back, I looked down at her, I noticed she started to look sick, she was slowly starting to lean forward like she's going to pass out and she did, falling right into my arms. She opened her eyes one last time looking at me and her eyes rolled back into her head.

"Miss Eliza call the doctor to my room"

I picked her up and walked to away, I wasn't really thinking at the moment and the right thing to do was to take her to my room. While picking her up I noticed she was very light, maybe they don't feed her very well. Well that's going to change no one in this castle has to feel hungry or left out.

I gently laid her on the bed and I stood next to bed waiting for the doctor. I heard the a knock on the door. They won't open it unless I say they can come in,

"Come in" the doctor bowed her head to me and rushed next to the woman on my bed. She touched her head to see if she had a fever.

"My Lord, she seems healthy. But maybe she didn't eat anything the whole day and that caused her to pass out" I nodded my head and gave her the permission to leave. I sat on the bed and stared at this mysterious woman, what was she thinking? She must be new here because no other girl has done that before.

She started to mover around on the bed and then she opened her eyes and when she saw me her eyes widened and she tried to get out of bed.

"Sit" I said, she sat up but she wasn't looking at me. She just stared at her hands like they were the most interesting thing she's ever seen.

"What's your name?" I asked her, she hesitated for a second but answered me.

"Isabella my Lord" such a beautiful name, a beautiful name to a feisty attitude I might say.

I got up and walked to the door knocking on it, the guards opened it and bowed their heads.

"Bring me food, I want the finest dishes the cook can make"

"Yes my Lord" I closed the door and walked back to the room. I can tell she was debating on what to do, look at me or keep her head down.

"It's alright you can look up, I mean you've done worse right?" I chuckled, she stood up and walked to me. She went on her knees taking my robe in her hand and kissing it. Meaning she's asking for forgiveness and admitting her mistake. I grabbed her arms and pulled her up on her feet, she was now starting at me.

"You're forgiven love, but don't do it in front of everyone. Next time there will be punishment" she nodded her head, we were interrupted by a knock.

"Come in" maids walked inside with a small table and pillows we can sit on. I went and took a seat on, but Isabella just stood in her place not moving.

"Come sit, this is for you" I told her as the maids started to put food on the table. She hesitated at first but then did as I said. Even though she took a seat next to me she didn't touch the food. I sighed and turned to look at her.

"I'm not going to kill you Isabella. Here, taste this" I took a small piece of the very well cooked duck and guided it to her mouth. When she started chewing on it her face lit up and she smiled at me. She seemed to be much more comfortable but still asked me to feed her and for some reason I did.

It was time for her to leave, she kept me company as I worked on the ring and she told me about her family back at home and how she wanted to go back to see them and that triggered me a little.

"You'll not be going back because this is your home from now on" I pulled her chin up to look at me. She didn't say anything just stared at me. She backed away from me a little and gave me a small smile.

"Thank you my Lord but I think it's time for me to leave" before I can say anything she bowed her head and turned to leave. I just stood there stunned but I wasn't upset, I was just amazed. She didn't seem to be scared of me and that intrigued me.
