CHAPTER 14

Isabella

I haven't seen Shay in while since she has lots of work to do, as well as checking on Rana to see if she was alright. They left this morning to go do some business with a new partner coming from an ally country.

Now that I'm carrying her child, I was given a bigger room with girls as maids to help me with things, I have the same status as Leyla. I need to get her out of the way, she'll try to get rid of me sooner or later and I have to watch my back. I don't think anyone likes me in this castle except Shay, maybe Rana too but I could never know what are her real intentions.

Today, Shay's sister is going to be arriving with her husband. And since I'm new I have to meet her and get her to like me. I heard from some maids that Shay loves her sister more than anything to the point where anything she asks she gets it, she was her only sister and she made sure to spoil her.

I was called to the room where the princess and Leyla would sit in to talk about things and just gossip about everything going on. I knocked on the door and it opened, revealing a very beautiful woman. She resembled Shay so much except this woman was much more feminine and thin while Shay was more masculine and built.

"Mother who might this be?" She asked in a nice way not in a mean disrespectful way. I bowed my head and smiled.

"My name is Isabella your highness I'm the empress' lover" I replied nit waiting for the princess to talk. The woman gave me a small smile but her eyes held curiosity.

"Shereen, Shay's sister" she said, she turned to go sit next to her mother. We, who aren't princesses, we sit on the floor on big pillows while the princess and her daughter sit on a higher chair. Unfortunately I had to sit across from Leyla and she was giving me a glare the whole time.

"Order! Her majesty the empress!" We all stood up with our heads bowed, Shay walked in looking all glorious and handsome with a huge smile on her face.

"Shereen" she said opened her arms for her sister,

"My lord" Shereen jumped in her arms giving her a hug, Shay just wrapped her arms around her and kissed her head.

"I missed you sister" Shay said, Shereen just explained to her how she was busy with the kids and she didn't have time to come visit.

"I heard you're having a baby again" Shereen said in a jokingly way. Shay's face lit up and her eyes looked at me, I gave her a smile.

"Yes we are expecting a baby soon" she was interrupted by Leyla going next to her.

"My Lord if you excuse me, I left Rey alone I'll go check on him" she bowed and Shay nodded her head.

Rana

I was assigned to help Rey and just keep him company, we were in the garden playing with wood swords. When I got distracted by Leyla walking my way and he hit me on the head.

"Ow" Leyla laughed and I took the sword out of his hand, she gave me a small smile and I nodded my head not doing anything.

"Can we talk about Isabella, I heard you brought here right" she asked, alright straight to the point not even a greeting.

"Yes I did, why you asking?" She looked around and saw that Rey was busy running around so she sighed.

"I need you to bring me something to kill what she's carrying" my eyes widened, she's trying to kill Shay's kid and she'll try to get me involved with her.

"Are you out of your mind Leyla?! You're trying to kill Shay's child?!" I whispered yelled pulling her to a small maze that we had in the garden.

"It's not the only child, Rey is her kid as well!" I rolled my eyes and rubbed my face in frustration.

"Here you go again with that shit" what can't she just admit it to me, she knows it's mine.

"I'm pretty sure you were in my bed before she got to see you the first place, then one night you got caught sneaking in the hallways out of my room she saw you, we're lucky she saw you close to the common room or we both would've been dead. So don't lie to me Leyla I know Rey's my child" I didn't know tears were falling down my face in frustration, I hate this so much. I hated lying to Shay and I hated Leyla pretending all of this wasn't true. I felt her hand grab mine that was on my face and pull it closer to her face. She was looking at me just like when we were making love, I was hypnotized by them. She was leaning closer to me and so was I.

"If you love me Rana then you'll bring me what I want" she whispered against my lips, before I can say anything she captured my lips. A small whimper left her throat and I couldn't help but pull her closer to me.

She pulled away and her lips were so pink, I tried to lean in again to kiss them but she smirked and backed away.

"I'll see you around my love" she whispered leaving in that maze with all sort of thoughts running around my head. I didn't know what to do.
