i woke up to pressure on my back.

" the 5x grammy winner has finally awoken" i heard karrueche say.

" girl if you don't get the hell off of me" i groaned.

" no because why did ya mama text me about a cookout instead of you" she said smacking the back of my head getting up.

" i was telling you today since i found out last night" i said rolling my eyes.

" ooo you lucky that's the same thing ya mama told me or we would've been fighting" she laughed.

" girl i will toss ya little ass in the pool" i laughed as i got up.

" if i go down your going down with me now get up and get dressed" she said pushing me.

" karrueche i'm finna fight you" i said rolling my eyes walking into the bathroom.

i was brushing my teeth when someone knocked on the door.

" karrueche go away" i yelled.

" it's not even me" i heard her yell back.

i walked over to the door and opened it to see cliff.

" what nigga" i said with foam in my mouth.

" ma said hurry up" he said walking away.

i rolled my eyes and closed the door to finish my business.

i finished my business and got dressed when i walked out the bathroom karrueche was on live.

" i'm chilling y'all and yes i'm not home i'm at the besties crib" she said showing me.

i did the dougie and she hyped me up.

she continued talking to them as i got myself together.

" your a bum" i said to her.

" whateverrr hater" she said.

" you ready to go ugly" i asked.

" yeah let's go before i throw you in the pool" she said laughing.

" yeahh ight bye live" i said and karrueche ended it.

" heyy mama" i said going to hug her.

" i was talking about rueche" she rolled her eyes and hugged her.

" what type of shi-" i got popped in the mouth and i rolled my eyes.

" this is why i hugged karrueche first, now where's my daughter in law" my mom asked.

" she said she would meet me here so idk" i said shrugging.

" well she better or me and her will fight"

" all the way baby" she said giving me a hug.

" let's go grab some food" i said putting my arm on her shoulder.

" we might end up fighting in ya mama backyard" she said.

" you win" she said and i laughed.

" yeahhhh" i said flexing as we got to the food.

we got a bunch of food on our plate and sat down.

" we forgot drinks" she said as she took a bite of chicken.

" i got it" i said eating some baked mac and cheese before i stood up.

" protect my plate ma'am" i said.

she saluted me and we chuckled.

i walked over to go get the drinks.

when i leaned down to grab the drinks i felt someone tap me.

i stood up with the drinks in my hand and turned around to see this nigga

" Javaughn what are you doing here" i asked.

" i came with lani she said you were having a cookout for your grammy wins.. congrats on that by the way"

" mhm yeah thanks" i said going to walk away.

" y/n i know we aren't on the best of terms... i can feel it hopefully that can change in the future" he said.

i just nodded my head and walked to my seat. i sat down and accidentally slammed karrueche drink on the table.

" y/n" she said looking at me like i was crazy.

" sorry sorry" i said.

" who's here" she asked reading me like a book.

" how'd you know"

" because you were perfectly fine when we walked in" she chuckled.

" it's this guy named Javaughn who's 'friends' with kehlani but he likes her" i said throwing up quotation marks.

" don't let someone like him bring your mood down you win 5 grammys" she said looking at me then eating her food.

" you right" i said.

i looked down at my plate to see one of my pieces of cornbread was missing. i looked up and went to say something.

" you said to protect didn't say i couldn't eat it"

" by all means i might hit you with a car later" i said.

we laughed and i felt a presence walking up on me.

" hi kehlani" karrueche said.

" heyy i didn't know you would be here" she said.

" yeah y/n mom told me about it last night before i went to sleep and here i am" she said.

" yeah you can here i am to getting me another piece of cornbread" i said.

"mmmm nahhh" she said eating her beans. " but i do have to use the bathroom" she said wiping her hands and getting up.

" go in go past the kitchenand take a right" i said with a smile.

" thanks" she said walking away.

" why is jaroy here" i asked.

" Javaughn is here because he wanted to support you"

" support from a distance" i said.

" because you walked passed us when you guys went out kehlani. he likes you and because he's this bisexual guy he thinks your into him.. and i got time to think to myself for bit when it happened he wouldn't think that unless you gave him a reason to" i said looking at her.

" i never said that i'm asking did you give him a reason i just wanna know because we are on good terms and i wanna stay like that"

" no i didn't give him a reason" she said scratching her hand when she lies.

i chuckled.

" k" i said grabbing my plate and karrueches then getting up.

" where are you going" she asked.

" when your ready to tell the truth find me, i just want to talk this through and be adults about it, if you did you did but other than that i will enjoy the rest of my cookout and hopefully you do too" i said walking towards cliff and kendrick.
