His entry was of short notice, it was to be expected, the Japan Branch accepted him faster than the blink of an eye. Whether they thought he could give them information of the whereabouts of Tabane Shinono or he has information about the IS itself.
To be honest, they were surprised when they heard a second voice coming off of him. Sophia didn't mean to speak, but she had to. He was running late for his homeroom class.
He bowed towards the Officials and excused himself. What a pain, he'll have to explain to them later.
He expected as much when Tabane said that he would attend an All-Girls academy, he just didn't think it would cause such a commotion on the very first day of him being here.
He knocked on the door lightly, with a response of a teacher to wait.
"Oh? Are you the new student? My name is Maya Yamada." He took a gander at his educator, she had green hair, with specs that complimented her features, and short yellow jacket that seemed to be snug for her fit. "Nice to meet you, Yamada-sensei. Makoto Yuki Shinono, is my name." He bowed in respectfulness.
"Please wait right here while I notify your schoolmates."
He looked outside the window, the city changed since he was gone. His memories were becoming static. He only hoped he would get to find those precious places to remember his companions on his journey.
"You may come in." He opened the door...
And stopped next to Yamada-sensei. "This is Makoto Yuki Shinono, please treat him with the upmost respect."
At this point, he was fearing for the screams of teenage girls. And so, they screamed.
He was looking for a place to sit until he spotted the corner, a lonesome desk that had sunlight etched upon it.
He sat down. As the classes went on.
[Break]
Immediately after class was over, he was surrounded by waves of girls. He liked his personal space mind you.
"Shinono-kun, why is your hair blue? Did you dye it? Are you an emo?"
...That was preposterous. Being silent didn't make you an emo.
He opened his mouth to speak. "My hair is a natural blue."
Seeing as he was almost going to be questioned until class started back up again. He put on his clip headphones and before he could press start, he remembered that he should look around for Tabane's sister.
He spotted a purplette ponytail and figured it is her. "Houki Shinono." To be exact, he wasn't really her family so to say, it's on paper but not in bloodline.
He figured, he might as well be the eldest of the Shinono because of his age. Mentally, he is hundreds of years older than anyone he meets. Physically, he looks just like your everyday teenager, striving to make a living in a world where females reign supreme in IS.
Houki, turned her head towards Makoto, with albeit confusion. "May I help you?" "Tabane wanted to let you know that she is working on a Personal IS for you." Makoto gave her an IS bracelet almost as identical as his. Although, without an AI that has conscience.
"Thanks...er, what am I supposed to call you then?" Formalities was something he didn't mind, however, he liked to be called by his first name. "Makoto should be fine, we are 'family' aren't we?" "That we are."
!?
You hath reawakened the Magician Arcana.
We of the Magician Arcana give you our blessing once more.
He was startled by the voice, but nonetheless, felt more at peace. Bonds can never be broken, they can only be strengthened. He supposes he'll have to revisit the Velvet Room later on.
[Break]
Classes had finished, and it was time to visit the Velvet Room. Making sure no one was around him or followed him, he went into the ever blue door that seemed to distort once in a while.
"Welcome back to the Velvet Room. How may we be of service to you?" Igor was sitting in what looks to be a commander's seat.
"...The Velvet Room changed?" He was staring in wonder as he felt gravity shift every so often. "It changes and rearranges to what is more suited for the bonds. You may think it is a bad thing to gain new bonds, yet it is not. Many people share bonds with others."
"I see." He closed his eyes. The answer was quite clear, make new bonds yet never ever forget where they came from. Cherish the perished, hold endearment for the ones still living.
"Thank you, Igor." "No thanks is needed, dear guest. As I have said before, you are the most remarkable guest we have ever had."
His mind came back to his physical form. "Are? Shinono-kun?" It looks like he wasn't out of the frying pan yet. Cecilia Alcott, a representative of Britian if he remembers, was currently poking his arm.
"Yes Miss Alcott?" "O-oh! You weren't moving for a few minutes. It was like, you were caught in a daze of some sorts."
"It's quite alright. I tend to daze and think about...different models of IS." "As expected of a sophisticated person as yourself. How was it like being trained by Miss Tabane?"
"Trained? That's not the right word. I was taught. A difference in between being trained and taught is the way how close you take the experience. If I was trained, I would be stuck with little to no amount of knowledge. Being taught, from the littlest of problems - from engineering to tech issues - to the biggest - of actual tests and fail-safes."
"I have no doubt in my mind you will be able to surpass Miss Tabane." Cecilia said. "How can you be sure?" Makoto questioned. "Intuition." Was all she said.
That's all for now. Hope you enjoyed this random update out of nowhere. I'll see you guys and gals soon.
(Play Joy from P3 for the ending.)
