My mother was frantically pacing the room repeatedly calling a number. Looking closer I realised it was mine.
"Why won't she answer?", My mom exclaimed in frustration.
" Calm down Amelia, I'm sure she's just busy." Dad said though I wasn't sure who he was reassuring.
"I know but I'm just worried. What if one of them took her back there?" Mom asked.
Dad sighed,"I now Amelia but we have to hope they ignored her".
Mom raised an eyebrow," She's in New York. The chances of her being ignored are highly unlikely especially with how powerful she is."

The first thing I noticed after waking up was how much my head hurt. The next thing was that I was definitely not in my room or the hotel. Of course I panicked and sat up immediately regretting it afterwards.
"You should take it easy. You hit your head quite hard. The ambrosia and nectar I gave you helped but you still have a mild concussion.", A boy with blond hair and blue eyes said.
"Who are you?", I asked. Then I noticed his outfit. "Nevermind, the better question is what the Hades are you wearing? An orange t-shirt with olive green khakis is a terrible color combo. I'm Melody."
"I'm Will Solace and I don't exactly pay attention to what I wear when I'm just taking care of injuries most of the time. Also, did you just say Hades?" He said in one breath.
"Nope." I said, popping the p. I decided to play along until I have to wake up.
"I thought you did. Anyways, welcome to camp half blood. It's the only place safe for people like us.", Will said.
" People like us?" I questioned.
" Demigods. Half bloods. The children of-"
" Gods and mortals. I know what demigods are. But why am I included in this category?", I knew the answer but wanted to hear someone else tell me. It made it feel real.
"You're a half blood Melody.", He said. Okay I need to stop fangirling. I heard that in Hagrid's voice. That is seriously not okay.
I didn't know how a normal person would react to this so I did the first thing I could think of.
I exclaimed,"I'm a WHAT?!"
"A half blood. I thought you knew what they were." He frowned.
" That was a rhetorical question Will." I facepalmed.
"Oh" he realised.
Just then the boy with a sword came into the room.
"Will, Jamie and Harley searched every government database and social media. There's no sign of the new girl. It's like she doesn't exist.", He then noticed me. "Oh, you're awake."
Will said, "Thanks Neeks. Tell them it's fine." He noticed me staring questionably at th boy and said."Oh yeah, Neeks, meet Melody. Melody, This is Nico di Angelo."
