But I can't help from askin', "Are you bored yet?"

"Great," Ziggy smirks at me, and I immediately regret tell her about the guns.
I gulp at the thought - what the hell was she thinking now?

"That is not going to work," I tell Ziggy as we near the Union police station.
"Oh it's going to work because we need that gun," she assures me.
I sigh, turning over the plan in my head, looking for any possible flaws where we would end up getting caught. And there were so many ways this could go wrong.
I turn into the carpark of the Sunnyvale police station, giving Ziggy a look of 'you're crazy' before she hops out, grabbing the keys and jogs to the entrance. I follow a few seconds after she goes inside, walking casually to the entrance, careful not to make any noise. As soon as I pop my head inside, I already hear Ziggy's plan in action.
"I swear! I remember something from the night of Tommy's massacre. At Color War! The color war!" she says frantically to officer Kapinski.
As she says that, I catch her eye and she quickly seizes officer Kapinski's arms, catching him off guard and yanking him around so his back was to me. Ziggy gives the slightest nod before continuing to bombard officer Kapinski with questions and statements about Tommy and Nightwing. I use that time to sneak quickly past the desks, swiping a pair of keys from his desk as I pass, and toward the backroom. My father had once mentioned that guns might be kept in the backroom if officers weren't carrying them. I, of course, didn't mention to Ziggy that there was a possibility all the officers might be carrying all the guns and I'd never actually been in the backroom, especially looking for guns. As I near the door, I look at the keys on the hook and sigh.
Putting the first key in, it doesn't even enter the slot so I shuffle along to the second. It had a circular head and the key slides in but I can't twist it. I quickly grab the third key, trying to push it into the slot but it doesn't work.
"Shit," I whisper to myself, then I walk back through the corridors to the main room as I hear Ziggy.
"No no no Officer Kapinski, don't go! I-I uh wanted to talk about you about Nick! Is he really become the sheriff as soon as he's what? Eighteen? So next year?"
I give a silent thanks to Ziggy stalling as I rush back to keep trying to get the keys to work. Shit. I realise I'd already tried all the keys and grit my teeth. This could not be happening. Ziggy would soon run out of conversation and I was already out of keys. I quietly retrace my steps back to the main room and scout the area for any other keys without being seen. When I don't see anything I return back to the back room door and try the keys again. Shit shit shit.
Suddenly someone appears next to me and I fly backward yanking the keys back with me and hiding it in my back Jean pocket.
"Nick?"
"Officer Lawen," I reply laughing slightly from nerves.
"Why are you back here?" He asks skeptically.
"I was just uh my dad mentioned the back room before he passed? Something about how I should check it out," I say with little resolve.
"Your dad?" He questions and I nod.
"Yeah," I respond, and that's when I hear my dad's voice in my head.
