Life Goes On-OBX

Chapter 1

Kiara's pov:

It was a couple weeks after John B's and Sarah's death. I was finally calming down after the whole thing. I woke up like I normally do. It was the first day of school. I really didn't wanna go. "I can't believe my parents are making me go to school after everything's that happened." I thought to myself.

When I went downstairs my parents were frantically grabbing all their things. "Your keys are on the counter and I made u breakfast. Hurry up though you're gonna be late." My mom said running around the kitchen looking for her keys. When she found it she ran out the door. "BYE MOM!" I shouted but she was already outside so she probably didn't see me.

I ate the breakfast my mom prepared and grabbed my keys. I went out the door and got in my car.

When I got to school JJ and Pope were just arriving. I got out my car and saw Pope running towards me. "Hey Kiara" he said hugging. I love Pope but as a friend. I just didn't know how to tell him that. JJ looked at us, obviously holding in his laughter because of how awkward I looked. He knew I didn't love Pope like that. I rolled my eyes at him and flipped him off.

We walked into school and started like nothing ever happened. When we walked out of school at the end of the day we saw Rafe and Kelce hanging out in front of the school talking and laughing. How could Rafe act so normal after he killed someone. "MURDER!!!" I yelled at Rafe. I covered my mouth as soon as I realized what I said. "WHAT'D YOU SAY ?!?!?" Rafe said walking towards me. When he reached me he grabbed my wrist and stood so close to me that I could feel his breath.

JJ's POV:

As soon as Rafe grabbed Kie's wrist I felt the anger building up inside of me. Before I even had time to think I quickly grabbed the hand that Rafe was using to hold onto Kie's wrist and pulled him to ground. I got on top of him and started punching. "JJ STOP!!" Kie yelled. I ignored her until Rafe passed out.

I grabbed Pope and Kie's hands and quickly ran to Kie's car. We got in and Kie started the car. "JJ you're crazy" Pope said breathing heavily after everything that happened. "Yea you really didn't have to do that" Kie said "I'm not about to let him hurt us more than his stupid family already did."

We drove over to the chaetu and sat outside grabbed some beers and did what we always did. It obviously didn't feel the same since John B and Sarah aren't here but it was still fun. When the
sun set Pope went home and it was just me and Kie left.

General Pov:

JJ and Kie walked to the beach talking the entire there. They laid on the sand next to each other. "I wish we brought our boards the waves look amazing." Kie said laying down next to JJ. "Me too. But that would feel weird you know without..." "Yea I know" She said frowning. They sat there and talked about John B and Sarah. The whole time it was just two people confused, lost, and scared talking to each other for comfort.
