Tommy's POV
TW: Alcohol, broken glass, abuse, stabbing, screaming, blood, swearing
"Heyyyy Big Man!" Tubbo yelled into his microphone. It looked like Ranboo flinched. I shrugged. I'd probably imagined it. "Hey Tommy. Hi Tubbo." He mumbled. I frowned. Maybe something was off. He was normally more enthusiastic than this. "You okay Big R?" I asked, slightly concerned. His eyes widened a bit. Barely enough to be noticeable. "Yeah I am. Stream just drained me a bit. But thanks for checking!" He replied. I felt my worry disappear. Of course. Streaming tires me out too.
"Oh oh guys I have this awesome story from today!" Tubbo said excitedly. Me and Ranboo glanced at each other and grinned. It was nice seeing Tubbo so enthusiastic. "So me and Lani went to a park- Y'know the one I really like with the pond? Yeah that one. And there was an adorable duck that looked so much like Benson!" As I got more immersed in the story the rest of the world faded out. I gradually got more and more tired. Black pushed at the end of my vision. I slowly began to give in to the calming darkness of sleep. I leaned forward and my head slumped onto my desk. The last thing I heard was Ranboo whispering to me: "Goodnight Big Man. Sweet dreams."
Then I fell into dream land.
But I fell screaming.
I was gazing around a house. A man sat on an ugly brown couch with a glass of what I assumed was wine. "SON! GET ME ANOTHER GLASS!" He yelled. I spun my head around frantically. There was no way a kid lived here right? It was too- hostile? Angry? Horrible? A young kid- maybe 10 years old? That looked vaguely familiar poked his head out from a doorway on the opposite side of the room. "Yes father." He darted back where he came from. I followed slightly concerned for his well being. I watched as he dragged a chair over towards the fridge where I saw bottles of beer up top. Why did the kitchen look like- I gasped "Ranboo?"
I ran over and desperately started yelling and trying to get his attention. "Ranboo what is this? What's going on?" I screamed. He stood on the chair unable to see me and grabbed a bottle of wine. I tried to calm myself. This wasn't real right? This was just because I was worried about him before I went to sleep. Yeah that's it. None of this is actually happening. Suddenly the glass bottle slipped out of his hands. Out of instinct I tried to catch it only for it to fall through my hands. It shattered against the floor. I saw tears come into his eyes. "WHAT WAS THAT?!" I heard from the other room. Ranboo let out a strangled scream. His father stumbled through the door. "YOU IDIOT!"
I threw myself in front of Ranboo as his father proceeded forward, menacingly picking up a sharp piece of the shattered glass. Suddenly a lady I didn't recognise grabbed my hand. "You can't do anything. It's all already happened. He still has the scars." She whispered, her voice full of sorrow. "This- this is real? This all happened?" I whispered, my voice hoarse from screaming. She nodded sadly. I felt a few tears slide down my cheeks. I heard a scream and looked over. I immediately regretted it. Ranboo was on the ground surrounded in blood. The once clear shard of glass his Dad was holding was now buried deep in leg, now stained red.
"That piece of shit." I mumbled through tears. The lady next to me hugged me. "I'm sorry you had to see this." She whispered in my ear. "CLEAN IT UP YOU WORTHLESS BOY!" I wanted to scream that he couldn't, that he was lying in a puddle of his own blood, that he could clean it up himself but the only thing that came out of my mouth was desperate sobbing. "Tommy." I heard someone whisper. "No. I don't want to see this." I cried. The unknown lady stared at me. "Are you insane like me? Been in pain like me?" What did she mean? "Tommy." I shook my head. "TOMMY!" My eyes shot open.
I sat straight up. My face was wet with tears. "Tommy you were crying in your sleep? Was it a bad dream?" Tubbo asked me. I blinked.
"I- maybe? I can't remember..."
