"I brought an umbrella this time.",Jay let his gaze meet hers,"Let me walk you home."

"N o, i t ' s f i n e....I will take the bus.",she fiddled with her fingers, avoiding eye contact.

He was a bit disappointed at her response but he shoved the thought aside.

"The bus is here.",she spoke, before stepping into the vehicle ,"Bye."

He waved at her with a smile,"Bye~"

She slipped into a random seat , putting on his ear plugs while Jay stared at her , until the bus moved past him.

His gaze diverted to the sky, sensing that it no longer rained anymore.

He heaved a sigh , massaging his temples.

What's with rain ?

"Jay!"

He was startled by the familiar voice.

Turning back, he realised that the owner of the voice was none other than his own best friend, Sunghoon.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?",his eyes widened with shock.

"Shouldn't I be at school?",Sunghoon rolled his eyes.

"What do you mean, sch-",he paused for a moment to look around.

He no longer found himself under the bus stand shade.

"Why do I keep on shifting there randomly?",he mumbled under his breath.

"JAY. YOU HIGH, BRO?",Sunghoon stared at him questionably.

"Bro. You won't believe what happened.",he took a long breath.

"Corona Zombie Outbreak?",Sunghoon questioned.

"Yes.",he replied but then  shook his head with a  frown,"WHAT?"

Beep. Beep.

Every student's phone buzzed with notifications.

Jay lifted his hand phone, peeking at its screen.

"The popular manga 'Rain' has a new version being updated recently on online platforms. Check it out !"

"New version? I didn't even finish the old version.",Sunghoon heaved a sigh.

Jay immediately opened the manga app, tapping on the new version of 'Rain.'

He scrolled down through the phone screen only to gasp.

"What happened ?",Sunghoon snatched his phone,"Is the character more  handsome than me ? How is that even possible-",realisation hit him,"BRO? DON'T TELL ME YOU ARE THE WRITER.",he was in disbelief along with the other students who whispered to each other, while stealing glances at Jay.

"....how is this possible?"

Confusion inflicted Jay's mind.

The character looked exactly like him and even his name was Park Jongseong

The strangest aspects were the scenes.

All his interactions with Ara were somehow represented in the new version.

"WHY IS THE MAIN CHARACTER YOU?"

Sunghoon cupped his mouth.

He exchanged glances with his best friend ,"I know right, this is crazy. Why is he me?"

The last scene where the update ended was with him under the bus stand shade and Ara leaving in a bus to her home.

Did that mean Jay was yielding a new story with his own actions ?

"I know right.",Sunghoon shook his head in disappointed but not surprised,"I mean the main character should be me."

"I-"

Jay messed up his own hair.

The boy was startled by the sudden notification.

He almost dropped his packet of banana milk , as he read the update while adjusting his glasses.

"How is this possible? I didn't update 'RAIN'?"

He went through the new version of RAIN in disbelief.

This is crazy?

How did it get updated ?

"JAKE!"

Hearing Niki's voice, Jake immediately placed his phone back into his pocket .

"Oh hey...Niki!"

"Let's go and play basketball.",Niki grabbed him by his arm , dragging him to the indoor stadium.

The secret writer walked along with the younger boy being preoccupied with thoughts .
