Ara placed the noodle bowl on the table , sitting down on the space next to Jay.

"My landlord kicked me out because I couldn't pay the rent."

He used the most common and usual excuse to explain his bewildering situation.

Ara being soft at heart had felt bad for him and asked him to stay over at her place for the night.

"Thank you.",he flashed a smile.

"Will you be finding a new home?",she questioned slurping in the noodles.

"Yes.I guess.",he let out a nervous laugh , looking away.

His eyes caught the sight of a small framed family picture hung on the wall.

"...Are they your parents?"

She hummed in response.

He instantly felt bad for asking her about them .

She must have been missing them so much.

"Won't you ask me?"

His turned his head to face her.

"Where are they now...?",she lowered her gaze , slowly moving the chopsticks over the saucy noodles.

"I won't."

"Why?"

"Because your eyes tell it all."

Their gazes linked.

"Give me your phone.",he extended his hand towards her.

She placed her phone on his hand,"What will you do?"

"Save my number."

"Oh.",she peeked into the phone screen as he typed his number and then filled the name section.

"Jay."

He hummed.

"Can I add an e m o j i ?",she blinked with innocence.

He couldn't help but smile at her adorable behaviour.

"Sure."

She tapped on the emoticon section.

"Jay •̀ᴗ•́ ",she chuckled.

"Why did you use this emoji ?",he giggled.

"You look like this...",she laughed heartily for a few seconds .

Jay tapped on 'save' , scrolling down her contact list.

"You don't have any other number...?"
